I never had that issue with artwork. Maybe it's a third party app causing that?

Regarding your other point, yes I would much prefer that photos are foldered by app. It was also possible to move (ie cut and paste) pictures from 1 folder to another on android so if you didn't like that many folders you could cut them down if you wish.

Creating folders in the photo app just seems to make short cuts within a new folder, it doesn't actually move them.

I want to take certain photos out of "recently added" main folder and store them in another folder entirely so I move them but I can't delete them from recently added because then it deletes them off of the phone entirely!

... or just have photos in one folder without messing around at all.

It's quite entertaining to just flick through the iOS photo album too. What are you doing with photos to need to divide them so much?

The problem is there is no right answer, its all down to preference. If someone wants all their photos organised into separate folders to make it easier to find the photos that capture vs photos form all those random apps. If you had all those images from photos you take, snapseed, whatsapp, HDR original, HDR pro, Pano, Bacon Reader, Reddit News, Reddit Gallery, Meme generator etc etc all in 1 folder then its near impossible to quickly find something you actual care about vs all the craft thats in there.

Also now on Android the Photos app by default actual shows "All Photos". If you want too see your different folders you have to go to on device then you get a pretty nice layout of each folder.

Again with anything design its all about comparison, and which set of comparisons best fits your needs, what one press sees as clutter another sees as being clean, thats why it might baffle you since your only looking at it from your own point of view, instead of considering everyone has different likes and will like the way different thinks work. Also your example is the extreme, I doubt many people have 3 apps for reddit etc etc.

I totally agree about preferences but I'm not ignoring other peoples view, that's why I made that point about how funny it is to see differences in perception right at the start.

I know what you mean about finding a specific photo but, back to different people, I seldom have instances where I need to find a specific photo in that immediate second.

Is the only extreme point in my example the two additional Reddit clients...

But now it is very similar to iOS as it defaults to all photos, but then gives users an option to switch to a folder based view. You can also pick and choice what shows up in the all photos which is a pretty nice way of handling things. I now just have my captured photos in all photos so I don't have to see all the whatsapp junk I get sent endlessly lol.

^ YES... actually I don't think the Android version even allows you to disable that (mine definitely didn't a few months back)!

It is great that new iterations of Android are addressing these things, I completely agree it's lovely to get a choice since it clearly is a preference issue too. I just feel they still have a lot of things to fix.

The way I see it Google/Apple focused on different thing. Google was all about features and we see this is where Apple is catching up the most, get features like sharing, app communication that Android had for a long time. Where as Apple focused on the UI/UX, and we see Google is fixing this now, Android L has a huge amount around animations, transitions, heavy focus on design language.

They are both pretty awesome but at the same time have issues, for 99% of the things I think they both do it just as well as each other but its that 1% that makes the hgue difference, however its getting smaller and smaller. In a few years its really going to be really close and will just come down to ecosystem as things like TV/Car/Watches all join the game in a bigger way.

Haha.... ahhh you can't.

At least in iOS 7. I usually highlight all text and cut, then since there's no text you can lower the keyboard and see the previous messages.

The issue is I can't physically see the message window once the text I'm composing reaches a certain length. At that point I can no longer see any of the original message window.

If you Tap the name of the person you are texting at the top and pull down from there it should work.

This is a question for anyone who has ordered off the UK apple website:

Apple's dispatch time states 7-10 business days. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they actually dispatching within that timeframe? Quicker? Longer?
