Quick question, if I bought a sim free iphone 6 in the UK here off the apple site and sent it to be friend in Croatia, would it just work no problem once its there?

I'd expect it to be fine, but check what their network uses against the "Mobile and Wireless" specs on this page to make sure the UK version (A1586 GSM) would be fine.

But is it worth getting a Plus to get that sweet spot of 64gb though is my trail of thought.

You do realise that the 6 comes in 64GB? :o

The 128GB 6 is what I have, and chose it over the 64GB 6+ (same price) purely based on the size. I don't think I could handle the added bulk after seeing the 6+ in the flesh.

Ditto. Had a 6+ 64GB from launch day and returned it 7 days later for the 6 with 128GB. 6+ just too large to be practical day to day for me.

One added bonus is that my old phone holder in the car works with the 6, I think the 6+ would be too wide for it.

That's at least another £20 saved !

I've even read posts saying the 6+ is all the computer the user in question will ever need!

I just can't see me writing 15 page reports on a phone if I'm honest.

I know the 6 comes in 64gb, but I'm only interested in getting a SG version and as they are hard to come by in the 6 form, Im weighing up getting a plus to get the ideal storage.

That just looks like someone threw a load of stats at a webpage and hopes something sticks. I can't see any sensible conclusions from it, and there's no actual sales figures linked.

There are other similar reports if you care to do your own research. Maybe you just find it hard to accept? Doesn't bother me either way. I buy whatever suits my needs, I don't follow the crowd, OS doesn't bother me.

Same here. Apple stuff just works, as long as it carries on doing so then I'll happily buy it. If something better comes along then that's just fine.

Anyway, back to the "stats". They're ****.

They are using some marketshare breakdown by model from August to draw conclusions about the iPhone 6 which didn't go on sale until mid September! It's skewed data to start with, as the networks were clearing out the 5c and every man and his dog knew there was a new iPhone coming. Not that the source is linked anywhere. That's if you can get past the language : "How much we continue to predict the future of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, they being newly launched, there is a bigger problem lurking behind."

Pardon?

I've had my 6 for about a week and to be honest I preferred my 5S (I got the upgrade free from work). The extra screen size is cool but overall I find it more awkward to use and the only real improvement I like is the better camera. Very tempted to sell and downgrade as I even preferred the look/feel of the 5S, the new design feels like a high end Galaxy not an iPhone.

Really! I guess the speed difference wouldn't be significant so the only benefits are camera, weight and screen.

It's an underwhelming upgrade for a 5S user but what are you finding awkward?

The size, it's just not comfortable to hold the phone and use the entire screen with one hand which kind of defeats half the point of having the larger screen.

I don't have huge hands but I'm no Peter Dinklage either, my wife tried it and she said she might as well use our iPad mini which is an exaggeration but to my mind Apple have just chased Samsung rather than sticking to a form factor that I think better suits a phone.

I understand there's a market for big phones and phablets but for me at least, the iPhone 6 is too big of a starting point and I'd have preferred they just went from 5S size to 6+ for those who really wanted a bigger phone.

The 6 regular... no way I really hope it's not that big. I absolutely hated the Note 2 screen for practical use after the honeymoon period wore off.

I'm stunned your wife compared the regular 6 to using an iPad Mini, what would she have thought of the 6 plus.

Thanks for the chuckle too!

Glad i'm not the only one. Been having the same feeling for the past few days myself.

My fourth iPhone 6 is going back. A white flake has appeared under the screen next to the edge. Not sure how it got there seeing as the edge is covered by the phone case. Top of the screen is a bit cloudy too.

reserved my iphone 6 from the store today and ready to pick up once i finished work, couldnt get a 64gb so had to get the 128gb instead.

Well, after considering a sony Z3c stuck with Apple and took the plunge with a 6. Whats best to do with my 5s? Only two months old but I'm not sure I'd get it's worth form a phone recycler?
