Will UKIP win its first seat in parliament tonight?

I imagine their voters will be too busy moaning about Liberals, fighting people who aren't white, and planning on how to keep those pesky Europeans out of the UK.

Isn't that election in area with one of the highest white English populations on the island (95% or something) and almost no foreigners (biggest minority group is German IIRC)? Why would they vote UKIP?

Meh good for them if they do. Hopefully it will knock some sense into the 2 main parties not everyone is happy with the EU status quo.

The same reason why the regions in Switzerland with the lowest number of EU immigrants voted to impose EU restrictions.

Vast areas of Eastern Europe are dirt poor and have large issues with corruption and no tradition of democracy, why is is such a benefit that they have freedom of movement over all the EU and send politicians to the EU parliament?

Clearly you'd be in favor of political union of NZ with all of Asia?

Vast areas of Eastern Europe are dirt poor and have large issues with corruption and no tradition of democracy...

What about similar vast areas in Western Europe such as Spain or Portugal? Should their movement be restricted too since they are poor too, have large issues with corruption and no tradition of democracy?

What does that have to do with anything, a British passport allows you visa free access to many countries around the world. Spain and Portugal are great countries. It doesn't mean we should be in political union with them.
