final fantasy 13 series coming to pc

Yer, disappointed it is only 720P but got to be fair and say it looks pretty damned good.

Capped at 60fps (not that it matters) and runs nicely


Thought I would do a real quick recording showing a little of the gameplay.
 
I heard that it was the worst of all the FF games but was still considering it. but 720 only and 60gb install size is a deal breaker even for how cheap it is.
 
Yer, I thought there was something wrong with my DL speed, as normally it only takes a few mins to download and after an hour, it was still going.... 49GB and then took about 30 minutes to unpack :D

I am really enjoying it mind but then again, I am a bit of a closet FF fan.
 
I'm out the closet, enough about my personal life.

Do love my FF games, with the exception of LR. So was stoked when this was coming to steam. Canceled my download though, can live with a frame limit. Can't live 720p.
 
It's the uncompressed audio and FMV that is the reason why it's such a large install. I'm currently running the game at 4K using GeDoSaTo and it runs really smoothly on my GTX680, the only downside is that AA doesn't seem to be working. I think Durante is onto a fix and he'll be releasing a new version of GeDoSaTo too as he's playing the game.

The game doesn't seem to creep beyond 1033MB VRAM and it's mostly staying around 960MB so that means that if you have a 4K monitor you'll be sorted. :)

Also I'm so glad they've added in Japanese audio, Vanille no longer sounds like a whiney high-pitched trying to be cutesy little girl.

Well I started my download 4.30 yesterday after noon, it was on 32Gb 6.30 this morning....not gonna cancle it now as its taken long enough to get this far, so I guess 720p is gonna have to do.

Anyone think why they haven't done 1080? Others have done it easily with their ports??

Also I bought Sleeping Dogs definitive edition on the cheap yesterday so i'll play that if this turns out to a massive disappointing.

Just tried the resolution change and works but first fight and FFXIII has stopped working error :(

Thanks for the heads up though and I will fiddle some more.
