**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

I'll probably be staying with 3 on payg actually.

I'm sure the above is a price error, same site has the same deal for £38 a month. Then again the last time I ordered from mobiles.co.uk, they were £250 cheaper than the network so who knows.

Hoping for some pricing errors on this.
Keeping my eye on you amazon..

^ that's already £100+ cheaper than most other sellers? (Edit: Back up to £599.99!)

What case and screen protector is everyone getting/going to use?

It never really went down :D But im hoping it does, just like what happened with the gold z3. If not il probably wait till November for better prices.

You can increase the data allowance once you have the contract by paying more, I think. Not been on o2 for a long time so don't know the exact costs involved, I'm just hoping my discount code works!!

You can but at utterly ridiculous prices. £10 for an extra 1gb....: /

It is a good deal, if you can get some sort of extra discount as you mention but i am sure most on here would find only 1gb of data useless (i know i would)

To be honest you are probably still better off waiting for a cheap sim only price (say £550 or less) and then looking for a good sim only deal.

1GB is poor, I won't be using this SIM. It works out in total to be -

24 x 28 = £672 (- £27) = £645

I think the handset is currently priced at £600 so you're paying £45 for a SIM with unlimited calls and texts. Once the SIM actually comes through I plan to try and apply the discount and then offer the contract to someone in my family who is currently on o2 PAYG. Even if I offer it for £5 a month which is an absolute bargain, thats £120 back so ~£525 for the handset.

I've also seen that o2 now split the cost of the device and the airtime. I wonder if the £28 monthly cost is a mixture of device and airtime? So that if you wanted to buy out this contract right away, you only pay the remaining 'device' payment? It could work out to be a cheaper way to get the phone unlocked/sim-free.

True actually. If you can sell the contract it is pretty good.

I wish there was a phone with this spec but not a stupid size :(. Even the new S5,Z3, LG G3 are a bit too big in my opinion.

Have recently bought a Z3 Compact as it is the only reasonably high spec phone that isn't a stupid size. I miss the 1080p rez of my HTC One M7 though.

If I didn't order the Note 4 I would have probably gone for the Z3. Mate has it and loves it.

How much did you get the Z3 compact for? The same site have it for £18 a month x24 months, free handset, so £405 in total after the quidco cashback. A poor contract but that doesn't seem like a bad price just for for the handset?

I'd personally prefer to pay ~£40-50 extra for a Phone/SIM deal if it's an expensive handset and just stick the SIM in a spare phone and pay the phone cost spread over 2 years, rather than fork out a lump sum for a PAYG phone.

MKBHD is causing a stir on reddit right now as the circlejerk continues. GSMArena's battery testing showed the Note 4 to get rather good performance from a full charge. MKBHD tweeted something rather different failing to state that his handset is the Exynos one...

Many folks on reddit are taking his word as gospel. This is one of the downsides to being too popular for your own good and not giving enough details in public announcements like he has.

Only paid £250 for my Z3 compact from Amazon (£291 - £10 amazon voucher - £30 refund because the box was not sealed on delivery) so a pretty good deal!

Here are a few pics of my Note 4. Sorry it took a while as I dont have enough free time.

I do not know how to resize the pictures. They are from my dropbox. Hence the spoiler so it wont be too annoying.

Sorry for the poor quality pics they were taken from a dim room.

You know a photo posted is far too big when even your 34" monitor can't fit the whole picture in a full screen window.

Sorry for the poor quality pics they were taken from a dim room.

The S5 looks so small against it.
