My iPhone six won't connect to cellular. 8.0.2. Known issue?

I have reset network settings and turned on off many times

Very frustrating. Don't want to backup and restore. This is the base functionality to expect from a smartphone!

Nope. 8.0.1 - Yes. 8.0.2 fixed it.

...I really dont think the size of the 4 is suitable... Even typing is more difficult imo

Typing is actually the one thing I am worried about now I'll be moving to the 6 regular screen size. My hands are large but landscape typing on an iPhone 4 screen is pure perfection. Typing on the Note 2 was a complete disaster.

I bought the iPhone 6 Plus 64Gb on release day (Pre-ordered, didn't queue!). After using an iPhone 4 for 3 years now and getting madly frustrated with it's sluggishness, I have to say I love the 6 Plus! The size might be too big for most people, but I love it. The other day someone asked me to look at their 4S and I couldn't imagine how I lived with using such a tiny screen!

I am annoyed with how long some of the major app companies are taking to update their apps for the iPhone 6/6 Plus. Some examples are WhatsApp and Facebook, both of which look rather dreadful on the iPhone 6 Plus with huge text!

I haven't rocked an iPhone since the 4 with iOS 5 before the GMAIL app even became available.

How are attachments handled these days? I am a heavy GMAIL user and writing an email and then deciding to add multiple attachments of photos and documents is a breeze on my BlackBerry Z10. The last I remember with an iPhone is that if I wanted to send a photo I would have to go to the photo app first and select to share the image via email. If I started writing an email and then decided I wanted to add a picture, that was a no go and I had to start the email again... I can't even remember if it was possible to send documents.

Remember I am talking about the native Mail app. I never even got to use the Gmail app on iPhone.

I don't watch movies on my phone and play very few games, but going from a 4-inch phone to a 5-inch was still a revelation. It's so much better for browsing and for productivity.

Surprised that people think the iP6 is too big - even with my small hands I can reach the far corner of the screen perfectly.

I've been testing this around a bit, I find my Nexus 5 nice but the iPhone 6 a bit scary and I've nailed it down. I need to change my grip and remove my pink of the bottom of the device to reach the top left on both devices. The Nexus 5 stays very comfortable in my hand while the iPhone 6 is very slippery and will drop if I'm not extremely careful. This makes it feel much more difficult to use in 1 hand properly. That and the fact that the top left is much more important in iOS, I just use reachability most of the time now even on the 6 as the alternative will be dropping the device.

If it was a tad more grippy it would be fine.

Typing for me has always been tough, I just never had enough width and would make mistake endless when switching to my work iPhone from my Android device. I feel I'm much faster on the 4.7" form factor and I never make mistakes anymore. Apple's new keyboard is also really nice, if it had swype it would be perfect as its so much faster when you use your device in 1 hand.

put in your Gmail details in Mail app.

Start new mail.

In the body of the email, press and hold the screen, go to insert.

Getting beyond a joke really now.. add Instagram to that list also...

Why is it taking to so long..no word from any of them on why they're not doing it either

Agreed, very frustrating. Got to really respect some of the smaller developers when I got updates within a couple of weeks. ScannerPro comes to mind, looks fantastic now.

What boggles the mind is Facebook's whole business model is us using its service. It just gives another reason for me not to have it on my phone lol.

Ooooh, nice app !!! never knew something existed !

It's not just that apps haven't been optimised for the 6 Plus, a lot of mine don't even work properly (or at all) in iOS 8.

I have begun looking for alternative versions of apps that I suspect, won't be updated.

Shame really, as you'd think the big developers would have loved to have been in that "Optimised for iPhone 6" group on launch day

So do you reckon I'd have a better chance of picking up a 6 by going direct to an Apple store when they open for the day rather than reserving one?

There is literally nothing other than 16gb ones on the reserve site at the moment....

I would reserve one because otherwise it could be a wasted trip ?
The stock that is on the reserve site updates very early in the morning, because i checked at 5.30am and it had been update for my local store.
So you just have to be quick, thats how i got mine but i did have to settle for a 128gb instead of a 64gb one

What's even worse it that Facebook and a number of other apps have had updates since the iPhone release, but they still haven't customised the apps for the new screen sizes.

I noticed an update for an app yesterday that said it fixed issues with the app not working correctly on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but they still didn't optimise the app for the new screen size. Why release a half baked update?

Just got back from working in Liverpool. Went into a large well known phone store in the city centre. Compared the IP6 IP5s and Xperia Z3 compact. All working models. I thought the Z3 won hands down. Lovely build quality and sits just right in the hand. Kit-Kat is buttery smooth when compared to iOS8.

Just my own view. I think iPhone has took a step backwards, not helped by the OS.
