**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

And just before that I had an email come through from o2 saying 'welcome to o2' so I presume they've done the credit checks etc. The email contains my o2 account details to log in and stuff. Hopefully a 'your item has been despatched' email is incoming....

Well the note 4 is now a no-go for me. The two selling points being amoled and alrge screen size are no longer unique.

The nexus 6 has an amoled screen, that's larger plus you have the benefit of stock android with quicker updates etc.

I'm probably going to go for the 20GB EE plan in store tomorrow with a £7 add on to share the data with my Mifi. Just gotta decide what I want to pay up front, gotta a monster spreadsheet of working out ;)

Nexus 6 has an AMOLED whilst the Note 4 has a SUPER AMOLED. PPI is also better on the Note 4.

I also don't like the design of the nexus 6. Camera wise the note 4 front cam is superior and the rear cam shots on the nexus 6 look pretty poor in comparison too.

Like yourselves I've had some emails. I'm not an O2 customer at present but ordered the Note 4 on the o2 deal from Mobiles.co.uk. Ordered Monday at around 1400 and have had 2 emails, the first is from Mobiles saying "Thank you for placing an order for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The handset is currently on pre-order and will be available after the official launch date of the. Once your order has been through the normal network credit checks we will email you with the status of your order along with an expected delivery date. As we are experiencing high level of calls and Live chat volumes there is no need to contact us, as all is in hand. In the meantime if you require further information you can always log into your My account by following this link; My Account with your email address and your Order ID number for the latest status about your new handset Yours Sincerely".

The second is an O2 email saying my userid has been created, 1p has also been debited from my bank debit card from Mobiles.co.uk.

Looks like their email might be incorrect or out of sync, from the O2 email it looks like the credit and network checks have been done. Wonder when we'll get the phone.

They are both SAMOLED, and the difference in ppi is trivial.

Also wait for proper camera comparisons before making judgment.

Just got a text
