Just bought a pre-owned Xbox one game from Game. Put it in the console, a crazy noise started now it wont read any disks. It looks like the pre-owned barcode sticker has come off and damaged it.

I don't have much experience with Xboxs

Sounds like either a matter of sending it back to xbox and explained what happened but they will probably question why the label wasn't removed.

Or possibly a matter of opening the xbox getting to the cd drive ( if possible i don't know )

Doesn't sound good though mate
 
Xbox is two weeks old. Shall I return it based on the fact it's stopped reading disks or the sticker coming loose?

Return it for it has stopped reading the disk.

Plead ignorance and see how that goes.

On my old Xbox 360, I never had issue with disc with preowned sticker stuck on, might be more weary with the Xbox One from now on, seeing as it's fed in rather than tray.

2 weeks, Depending where you got it from you may be able to return it to them actually. Id look into that quickly!

If you can take it back to the shop you got it from just tell them it's not working and if it was me id tell them i didn't know why it wasn't working.

If not id send it back to them about it not reading anything and again, play dumb

They may just give you a new one there and then.
