Normally totally uninterested in this kind of thing...however this one has shocked me as she's now virtually unrecognisable as her previous self.

Is this like a soap where someones has been out of the spotlight for a while and a new actor takes the role?

This is pretty extreme though, there's no way I'd have known it was her without being told even if I sat and looked at it for ages.
 
She was so hot in Me, Myself and Irene, now she doesn't look like the same women!

Also whats with plastic surgery and that weird glossy look that the skin has afterwards?

It's just that normally you can recognise the person after the work is done. If I saw the "new" Renee i'd have no clue it was her. I'd probably think it was Robin Wright at first glance
 
Yet another example of unnecessary plastic surgery in Hollywood, where the end product is worse than it started....looks like a facelift, going by the scar along the hair line.

Very good.

It's obviously a glamour shot from 15 (?) years ago, up against a more 'natural' shot so it's not really fair from that PoV.. but the structure just doesn't match up. Was she ill or something?

She doesn't look like the same person at all...not the usual plastic surgery altered features, but a totally different person entirely. I wonder what she thinks when she looks in the mirror? Does she recognise herself?

Very strange.
 
****ing hell guys: she's 12 years older, 2 stone lighter, it's not a treated pic, and she's not posing. I suspect if you saw a moving image, or one not picked to be so different, it would be more straightforward.

Really, nothing to see here.
 
I know someone who had their face completely smashed up in a car accident that looks more like their original self than she does!

The first picture is from Bridget Jones Diary film, not a glamour shot (technically)
