Nexus 9

After waiting half a year to upgrade my nexus 7 2012 I have spent my money on my first apple product ever, the ipad air 2. Think I have made the right decision, sadly.

I'd set aside £300 to replace my N7 2012 with the new Nexus tablet. If I had £500 I'd have bought an Air 2 or Mini 3, but as I don't, I've bought nothing.

Mines still down to be delivered on the 4th but I am considering cancelling as I've spent far to much on tools this month and honestly don't need the tablet, the last two I've owned I've sold through lack of use..

it now says... this item will be released on 15th december.
which looks like a delay for all
That is hilarious if true. It'll just make folks cancel and go for an iPad sadly. HTC and Google imo messed this up massively if true.

When did you order? Mine still says 4 November delivery.

Ordered on 21st October. I was waiting for some Amazon vouchers to come through.

You can still buy it from Google play tho so this is just Amazon delaying stuff. May have blown allocation.

Still not clear from these posts if it is only for new pre-orders. The Amazon store page says 15/12 but has anybody with an existing pre-order seen that date change? Mine and it seems most (if not all) others are still showing 4/11 on the actual pre-order. As I see it they have just allocated all their release day stock to existing pre-orders.

Mine changed. It was November at the time of placing the order but now is December. I've not received any notification from Amazon of the date change.

Edit:
Ok, this is what it currently says on my Amazon order:

Pre-ordered - Delivery estimate: Tuesday, 4 November 2014

Yet it also says:
Release date: Monday, 15 December 2014

Clicking on the item it says:
This item will be released on December 15, 2014

So I really don't know what is going on!!

Received an email from Amazon this morning saying that my estimated delivery has changed from 4th November to the 16th December. My pre-order was the LTE version and ordered on the 18th October.

Will probably wait until after Xmas before picking 1 up.

"Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below was changed by the supplier, and we need to provide you with a new estimated delivery date based on the new release date:"

just got the "Estimated arrival date: December 16 2014" email from amazon.

i cant help but see that the Play store still says "Dispatched from warehouse by 3 November." so if that doesnt change im thinking google has just bumped amazon from getting any.

it feels like google just keeps saying FU after FU to users. feel like i should just cancel it and buy a hudle2 instead

Yes, got the delayed email too. Well at least I know that's that settled then!

I've cancelled the Amazon order and gone with Google Play.

actually check that, just checked it out and google can go get fcuked. after charging £80 for an extra 16gb they can go spin if they think im paying them £10 for delivery too.

Its not just the £10 postage. Buying direct from google gets you a replacement sent next day if you have any issues in the 2 years. That is worth it in my view. Had to RMA my n5 and n10. So good they ship you a new one next day first and then give you 30 days to ship the old one back.

it this point i dont think i care. no sd card, only 32gb max, over charging the UK, £80 for 16gb then to top it off google delaying supply to amazon yet still it seems they can supply their own shop fine

I wonder if Amazon have used up their stock allocation and hence why they've delayed orders. Has anyone's Amazon order not been moved?

Seems really harsh for Google to give Amazon the big heave ho.

ive seen it rumored that google was pee'ed off with amazon because they started preorders a day before they were supposed to. this is google retaliation for it.

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon the same day they made them available to do so and I got an email a few hours ago saying the same thing. It's a pity, because I'd get the thing delivered to my local Asda as I won't be in when it comes in all likelihood.

It sucks but I get the feeling there's more to it than just Google retaliating. There's a conflict of interest since Amazon would rather sell you their Kindle and margins on these tablets for the sellers aren't huge. Amazon has delayed sales of Nexus products in the past. I feel a little put out by it but I definitely want this thing before December. My 2012 Nexus 7 I got at launch is about ready to be thrown out the window.
