US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

I didn't notice this before but the first guy slaughtered at terminus in episode 1 was a character from season 4, Sam who was one of the 2 survivors helping Rick/Carol find medicine in the houses. You have also seen him if your watching Gotham

The Penguin

I personally thought bitten and suicide.
Again. Why else wander around outside sobbing

I didn't twig the casual racism lol

Season looks better than the dire second half of 4

Shirely the cannibals would have noticed a bite mark on his leg?!
Also I'm going to feel like a right noob if this is true as I didn't see it coming :p

Ha!

Did black man get bitten? Then they've cut off his infected leg and eaten it?

Yeah that's what I figure happened too. He was crying just before being hit over the head so I think he must have been hiding a bite. Surely that's going to turn the cannibals into zombies? It'd be funny justice if that's the case.

Has their been any previous indication that you can catch "zombieism"? After Shane turning I thought it became obvious, to Rick at least, that you don't catch it, it's already in everyone but is just activated when you die (however you die apart from from brain trauma). So eating infected meat might make them sick and then they die from being sick but the meat itself shouldn't necessarily turn them.

They may have cut off his good leg without looking at the bad one, unaware of the prior incident. I also think he had planned to suicide and as for infection by kissing, see summation above - unlikely.

Yeah, he was having some issues alright. I can't actually remember if he was drinking, or whether they've just abandoned his alcoholism trait. But that might be part of it.

Either way, Bob's mentality changed after the encounter and now he has the leg removed it's possible he could be rescued later and be Hershel mk II.

Like others I don't watch the 'Next time on..' part of the show so I could be 100% wrong and he's already been consumed.

Wonder what torture Beth has been through, who reckons if she's alive, she'll have a kid?

I was more curious who could have kidnapped her, was thinking Gabriel at first because of the cross on the car but now it is looking less and less likely

I think there's certainly a tie between the car and Gabriel.

One thing is for sure, this is the first season since season 1 where I can't wait to see what happens episode after episode. No more farmyard or prison yawnfest.

I think there's certainly a tie between the car and Gabriel.

My theory is that Gabriel wasn't at the church on his own all that time before the group arrived, that maybe another person had gone out with the car before Rick's group turned up, maybe with Gabriel and they'd been separated, and that person was just returning from looking for him. My main problem with tha theory is that I don't know how the person in the car would have seen that anything was out of the ordinary at the church, but it's got to be too much of a coincidence that a car sped past with a cross on the back of it.

But the bite is just more than the zombie infection, otherwise it wouldn't ravage them when bitten.

As far as I understood it, the zombie bite doesn't infect and kill people, they die due to the infection from it. The virus that everyone has also weakens the immune system, likely increasing the rate at which the infection spreads, hence why Hershel was ok after cutting his leg off. Bob would have been alright if he had acted almost immediately. Oh well, that was done for him anyway, just in a really bad way!

That actually makes sense  are you a doctor?

Zombie bites induce a massive fever that kills you, at least this is how S1 explains it. (watched it last week).

Great episode tonight. They could have dragged the whole Terminus story on for a while, but I'm glad they didn't. That Gareth guy needed to go soon as he was annoying as hell! What a scene that was though...

Seems like things are going to be a bit more fast paced, but then again we are only on episode three.

Great series as always so sad to hear is the last season but pleased they doing that other spin off series regardless if its a prequel series or not the amount of stuff they can do with cross overs or with other characters in-between the times we missed them will be awesome.
