elemental damage actually does naff all outside of the nightfall.

Use Atheons epilogue and despite being a void primary, it still takes tons of bullets to kill because it has low impact.

The only real purpose to the elemental damage is to match up the colour of the damage to the shield on the PVE enemy, as they do bonus damage.

Use a fire weapon on a vex, and you're not doing any extra damage on them than you would with a kinetic weapon.

Wow, they're trying really hard to make people forget that Iron Banner is a completely failed event. Its Control under another name, that's it :rolleyes:
 
Atheon Epilogue + Ice Breaker it is then.

As for the Shanks, even with fireshield, you should be able to one shot them with something Void e.g. Fusion Rifle as the 3x damage do rack up.

Fusion rifle certainly, though you may as well just use Ice Breaker and guarantee the 1 shot.

Atheons Epilogue takes forever to break through the shield even with Void Burn.

What's the cheese strategy for the boss? Never looked into it last time.

I personally just play it as normal as I tend to hid behind the pillar avoiding splash damage and just shoot addies as they spawn then back to boss. It's just a slow sitting boss compared to others.
 
Void burn could be tricky on the Nexus, the splash damage from the boss will be very dangerous and if you cheese, the Axis Minotaur can one shot your group if you arent careful. Guess id better bring Truth :D
 
I personally use this one, you can lay down the hurt on the Nexus without a problem. When/if you run out of ammo you just wait for it to regenerate naturally and continue on :)
