Stuck on building new PC

see all your windows folders above you dragged/dropped ?

download imgburn and create iso file from folder (using those files/folder),once you done that drag the iso to the usb stick then boot from usb

if that dont work use rufus and create bootable usb stick then drag the iso to that and try

OK so i downloaded Rufus and imgburn. Now I'm burning the image from the disk to and ISO file. Is that what i'm supposed to be doing ?

And then I have to go through rufus and add the ISO to my usb ?

yeah might aswell try making usb stick bootable first (once you've created iso file)

then drag the iso file to usb stick and boot from it, (you just drag/drop the iso file to the usb stick)

you wanna pickup/install a cheap dvd rom drive, makes life so much easier:D

Okay guys :) Man this was a challenging task for me haha. Been mounting this beats since 12 and it's almost 6 o clock o_O.

Another thing that i might be getting wrong is the LED lights at the power button of the case , only one of them is lit up (left one). is that how is should be ?

Yes for now, as the HDD/SSD isn't being used so the light won't be flashing (this light is the HDD/SSD load light)
When windows gets installing then it should start flashing, if not then swap it around like the power button etc

Left one is power, right is HDD load

Power LED should be ON constant.

the HDD indicator will flicker when the storage is being accessed.

If it doesnt then you just have the ± wrong way around.

Ive never had to use rufus or whatever, just a FAT32 formatted USB drive with the files dragged off the disk onto it has always booted on all boards.

ive had to on older x58

idk why its not working atm,if it doesn't with making it bootable ect im out of idea's

its easier to press f12 at splash screen and pick usb, rather than setting it in boot order, can set ssd as first device after windows has installed

Thanks mate :P Been a loooooong but amazing day :D

Tonight, I shall be installing everything back on + BF3 hahaha so i can feel those FPS and High settings <3 for the past 4-5 years I've been playing games on LOW at max 60 fps , max. haha

Sounds fun! :D

What monitor is that you have? some AOC?
Remember mobo drivers etc also, generally you can d/l them from the motherboard website or use the disc (I use the disc even though you shouldn't really)

Before you get carried away.

Update the boards BIOS with the latest.

Reason being the early ones set the vcore too high.

Download the BIOS, extract it, place the 8MB BIOS file named F6 or whatever onto USB stick.

Enter BIOS, click on Qflash in the top right and choose update from drive, navigate to the file on the stick and let it do its thing.

And follow everything else from this thread - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18633309

BTW! I have a "problem" if u can call it so. My 2TB HDD doesn't show up in My computer at all, only the SSD. What did I miss or didn't do?

It does show in Disk manager as Unallocated :|

Download F6 from here - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4959#bios

Extract/uncompress the folder.

Stick the file called F6 and 8MB in size onto a USB stick leave it plugged in.

Restart the PC.

Enter BIOS.

Select Qflash and enter this.

Choose update from drive.

You should see the USB drive name listed.

Select this.

Then you will see everything stored on this USB drive.

highlight the file called F6 and hit go.

It verify s it is the right one for you and away it goes.

It will restart etc.

As it has now wiped the BIOS, anything you changed before this update is lost.

So set it up again (boot order, XMP for the RAM etc).

-------------------------------------------------------------------

As for the 2TB HDD.

In disk management you see the dark grey shaded bar that is this missing HDD? right click and make a new volume/allocate the space and assign a drive letter.
