what's making all the girls/women join isis?

because they've only been given half the information and a very contrived viewpoint, AKA what they're supposed to hear about the ideas that are being preached.. so a bit like UK political parties (and their associated agendas) really!!!

What sort of parents let them go. Christ most parents worry about their snotty teenagers out till midnight.

"MUM!!!!!!!" Can I go to Syria. Sure love, just make sure your home by 12...

Why do women stay with men who beat them? Some people don't want to be happy, they just want to be treated like ****. Isis offers that in abundance.

I don't buy the assumption that these youngsters are becoming radicalised by a religious ideology. Why don't they go to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia if they want a "true Muslim" way of life? These people seek conflict, fire, blood. As Alfred said in The Dark Knight, "Some (wo)men just want to watch the world burn." Syria is definitely burning, the religious ideology is just an excuse.

Ermm ALL the girls. What a stupid question. Two girls who left months ago, out of all the millions of girls that could have gone over there. Girls have motivations too, they have loyalty, confusion, struggles, it appeals to disgruntled people, essentially/possibly a suicide mission or dreams of a better life, tragically they only met brutatily, more confusion and death.

They want to “belong to something special.”

“They want to find something meaningful for their life,”

“Some are thrill seeking, some are seeking redemption.”

Those who join terrorist groups like ISIS are the most "ignorant people with respect to religion and they are generally the newest members to the religion."

"They would probably fail the most basic test on Islam"

There won't be a one size fits all answer to why.

I suspect the predominate reasons are a mixture of either:

-People with mental health issues (and stuff of that nature i.e. as mentioned above some just "want to see the world burn").

-A mixture of disillusionment with their current life and some degree of radicalised/brainwashing making the alternative seem like a bit of an adventure/exciting or just an outlet from what they see as a hopeless life.
