Nexus 9

The Android Police review is a little worrying, hopefully they have a dodgy unit. Will have to wait to see what the other reviews say.

Verge review says that screen is not that good and significant lag. The latter probably fixable in software... the former... not so much.

Glad that my amazon order was delayed (now cancelled).

These tablets will drop in price significantly.

Problem is that Google's new pricing policy for nexus is no longer predicated on awesome value for money. So they charge competitive prices... and must compete ... no free passes cos' the hardware is cheap.

At £200-£250 I would be interested and could overlook a few shortcomings. At £319+shipping then it has to be top notch.

Fingers crossed, should get mine this week and ill just have to see.

If there's any issues then ill just return it to Google, was quite an impulse buy when it was announced anyway hehe

Google returns are pretty good now I think. Not like the original Nexus 7 customer service nightmares when Google was new to order fulfilment.

Anything that is software fixable... e.g. Lag is nothing to worry about. Backlight bleed and limited colour gamut would be a concern.

It may be software fixable, but it's still beyond frustrating that in 2014, Google would allow its flagship tablet to launch with serious lag issues. Do they want to grow the Android tablet space or not? Because it's Apple they're competing with, and Apple would never let this happen. It's not 2008 any more - tablets aren't a first-generation device with expected teething problems. This bread and butter user experience stuff really needs to just work.
