So...

Not that I'm suggesting anything here guys, but:

The OP has posted his PoF profile in another thread.

Might be possible to find his FB profile from that, look through his friend list, and find any ***** looking types who have recently changed their relationship status to "single". See who they were in a relationship with, and message the guy to a) warn him of any impending claim, and b) congratulate him in no longer being in a relationship with a total golddigging *****.

Like I said though, I'm not suggesting anyone does this, purely mentioning it may be possible.

What you do with this information is up to you ;)

im tempted but its bed time :o

I know I'm late to the party on this one but it beggars belief. What on earth does it have to do with her? Gold digger definitely comes to mind unless kids are involved. Even then I can't see why it's her business assuming he pays for them.

To be fair the ex might have lied to her all along (also no information on how long) and said that she needs to pay rent for their rented accommodation, when she was actually just paying his mortgage for him. Granted she'd have to be an idiot to end up in such a situation where she didn't know whether her own partner owned the home they were living in, but it's the only reason for me that doesn't make her out to be a gold digger...

But yes, Land Registry is the way to go. Costs £6 for the plan and register when I do it through our work account. Not sure if it costs more when you're not registered in such a way.

Mumsnet is never the answer to anything.

I don't know, I think Mumsnet would give us great mirth with regards to this matter. Perhaps with more detail it could be posted in AIBU along the lines of, "AIBU to want half my ex's house for making me pregant".
