**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

What do you think of Spigen Galaxy Note 4 Case Neo Hybrid Satin Silver for a case?

Im scared of dropping this beast as iv already dropped it once but luckily that was onto my bed :D

Very good quality as usual from spigen.
Think i would have preferred a slightly softer feeling material on the back but i can live with it.
in my opinion is the best looking "slim" case for the note 4.

Oh and if you use the heartbeat sensor thingy on the back, the case makes it pretty much unusable.

Spigen make really nice cases but I found my neo-hybrid case made my Note 3 far too bulky. Not using any case on the 4, it's big enough as it is and IF it drops and breaks, I'm insured, so I'll chance it.

Haven't charged my Note in 1 day and 16 hours. Still 22% battery left. This thing is pretty decent.

Well, I have ordered my Note 4 from Vodafone.

Managed to do some haggling with their retentions team. Ended up with the following deal :

Note 4 - No handset cost
7GB Data
Unlimited Calls & Texts
24 Months of their entertainment pack
£31.02 a month

I've just ordered from Argos, £600.

It's the first time I've purchased a phone this expensive without it being included in a contract! It does mean my monthly costs will be lower though, as I only have to find a plan that doesn't include a phone. Still with O2 until December.

A friend told me to try Ebay, they are ~500-550 on there but I personally don't trust Ebay enough to buy something like this from. On some of their descriptions they were saying they are "US version" "Korean Version" so I'd prefer not to get them. They are probably fine and everything but nm.

This is so much better now. Running the full 2650mhz in games now compared to before when the Samsung DVFS would take the speed down to about half after only a couple minutes of gaming. Just had ago now and it stayed at the max cpu speed the whole time and the temperature was hardly any higher.

Needed to root of course and use the Samsung DVFS disabler program but now its extremely fluid when gaming with no slow down once it heats up.

I used setCPU aswell and changed it to performance so it stays at max speed in games.

Have on of these coming next week.

Without trawling through the whole thread can anyone recommend a decent case please? And is there any particular brand of microsd card I should go with. :)

Samsung's own Micro SD cards would best, excellent speeds and good prices too, I was using the orange model (can't check atm what they are called, but come in 3 different models, orange being the middle for speed and price)

Have a look at the Zenus cases, pricey but extremely well made and genuine leather etc.. And they come in a variety of styles (mobilefun have a load of cases for the Note 4)

:)

Cheers Monkey. What case have you got for your Note4?

I've got the TetDed Djion III black leather case, very nice it is too, bought from the bay of e, though they only have the black and only one style atm, if you search for the manufacturers website they have lots of different styles and colours and you can order direct.

Decent cases for the Note 4 are taking an absolute age to make it to market, not sure why?

Just fitted a screen protector from eBay. It's explosion proof supposedly. However I'm not. Lol.

It's actually covered the whole viewable area nicely but it doesn't have cutouts for the led or front camera. Instead it just covers them.

Can see a border of air around the edge where the note screen tapers off though. It's not bad though and I'll be keeping it on.

Was only £4 and it's a good fit.

I'm in a similar boat to Thundy - I don't like the wallet style cases. Quite like the idea of something that offers dual protection (hard case with soft inset). Idealy with a kick stand at the back. Any recommendations?

I really like a full case, but, only if its thin and stylish, not the bulky types (ie full fat wallet replacements). The case I mentioned above hardly adds any bulk but at the same time gives me confidence that the phone, especially the screen, is protected :)

I take it the note 4 you got from argos is not network locked?
I myself was hoping to get mine from tesco and get club points, but they don't have any stock yet.
