Brazilian Grand Prix 2014, São Paulo - Race 18/19

Bet dm is writing his dissertation right now about how hamilton was quicker hahah

So the way double points affects the final race is Hamilton has to come 2nd or higher rather than 6th or higher.

Correct me if I'm wrong but he just has to come 2nd, not higher. P1 would just be a bonus. Even if Rosberg wins the race, he has to hope Lewis comes lower than 2nd for Rosberg to win the WDC. That's my understanding anyway.

Thats what he said?

Ha love winding you hammy bum boy chumps thats all...

Didnt drunkenmaster say rosberg cant beat ham in a straight fight?

The butt hurt is strong in this thread now. Brilliant. Well done Rosberg! :D

OMG a new low even for you. Well we won't be seeing you in here next season

Nail biter of a race, some nice moves throughout the field, podium was ridiculous. Grats Nico but honestly the Merc car can cruise to 2nd never mind 1st. Hamilton surely can't lose.

No, I said he HADN'T when people like you were saying it was close. In races where the other driver hasn't DNF'd it's now 8 vs 3 wins in Hamilton's favour, that is a spanking.

Hamilton also very clearly had the superior pace throughout the race but had one costly mistake.

Rosberg has still entirely failed to pass and make the move stick on Hamilton the entire season, Hamilton has done it multiple times.

Lost 9 seconds in a half spin.
Finished 1.4s down, slowed down by a second in the last sector on the last lap.
Other than that spin, was faster throughout. Oh, and fastest lap of 1:13.555 for Hamilton too.

But of course, the question really is where is Button going to put that enormous trophy for 4th place in their cabinet?

Much as I hate the double-points farce, you could argue that it doesn't really make much difference now.

If Rosberg wins, then Hamilton has to finish second. If double-points weren't in effect, he'd have to finish sixth. Whilst that may sound like a big difference, the advantage of the Mercedes is such that the only realistic way he'd finish lower than second is due to some technical problem.

If Lewis doesn't score at all (and Rosberg wins) then Rosberg would take the championship even without double-points.

So the only way double points makes any real difference is if Lewis has some problem which causes him to finish lower than second but at least sixth with Rosberg winning.

Solid drive from Rosberg. He's not out n out as fast as Hamilton (no way would he have kept up if Hamilton had got past) but did well to keep him behind. Daft mistake from Hamilton cost him the win. Rosberg learnt from his mistake in Austin where he didn't drive hard enough.

Sorry guys i am only having a bit of fun :). It was a cracking race. Well done to all the top 5. All drove brilliantly.

Abu dhabi is set up to be an absolute classic.
