How much usable space will the 32gb be left with? Frankly, all I'd need this for would be surfing the net whilst traveling, and listening to music in the car (maybe 1000 songs?). Pictures and a few apps (I generally don't really use them that much).

I voted white 64GB but I still can't make up my mind on the colour
Only reason I'd go with the white is in case the blue trim turns out to be horrible. The white looks good, but I may end up putting a skin on the back for a darker colour.
To give you an idea if you've ever seen an iphone 6 plus in person this is how the nexus 6 looks with regards to size. If you haven't then I suppose if you could hold an iphone 6 plus in an apple shop so you'll know beforehand if the nexus 6 will be too big for you
They're going to feel very different though, given the overall flat back and thinness of the iPhone 6 Plus vs. the very different curved back of the N6.
I held a Note 4, which although thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus actually felt far more manageable than the 6 Plus. I think I preferred it being thicker and having more angular edges...it provided something to hold on to.

The blue trim looks great to me from the various YouTube videos around; almost like anodised aluminium (hopefully it isn't anodised as - although looking great - it wears off with enough handling).
^^That's exactly what's holding me back from buying the Nexus 6 I literally could not get to grips with the One+
I'm very clos to buying the X2014 but questions about the battery life and camera performance remain.. I'm hoping under Lollipop that both elements will improve.
