What the hell is biting me?!

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the Tube Web Spider can be found in Oxfordshire, so that gets my vote.

Kinda on topic, this happened a few years ago.

I returned from holiday and every day I would have a similar lump/bite appear.
I could feel the bite happen but couldn't see what what biting me.
4 days after my return a mate came round for what ever reason, stayed for around 4hrs then went home.
The following day was bite free, as was the day after and so on.

Cheers to my buddy for being the new meal of what ever was trying to eat me.

I was getting bitten like that every night for a couple weeks about two months ago. Only one or two bites a night and always around my lower legs. I checked the cats for fleas and couldn't see any, tore the bed apart looking for bed bugs but saw no signs, then after two weeks it stopped and I haven't been bitten since!

Some other conditions/diseases can have this sort of symptom, so, if after fumigation that the issue persists, i'd recommend a trip the GP. You'll probably get a blood test.

Well thanks for making me worry  haha

Interested to know which conditions

sneeky little beggers. we never saw any on the cats, they definitely had them at one point though. thats why they always get treated now (not sucky frontline) despite being indoor cats.

life cycle of fleas is 2 weeks by the way.

Possibly.. Ours are treated with Stronghold regularly though. Would have thought I'd have been bitten more than once or twice a night too?

Speculation is pointless as the mostly likely occurrence is an insect bite. We had a blanket that fell off the washing line, then brought it in hte house, the result was fleas everywhere as a local Cat had sat on it when outside. Took 2 months to get rid of all the fleas.

For your morbid curiosity - Chicken Pox, Measles, Shingles, right through to some bad ones. If under any doubt, go to GP.
