CS:GO Discussion

My god. Tired of being kicked for no reason. Just got kicked from a game which I was totally carrying. Team decides to direct their rage at me because they were playing terribly. Playing with randoms on any game is just a nightmare it seems.

Trying to do my Cobblestone mission, get four Russians. Two are banned by rounds 3 for team killing

I saw that too, but equally can't find it. Although I did find a post that Eurasia is the best campaign to finish as:

-The only two chances to get an AWP | Dragon Lore
-Two chances to get M4A1-S | Knight
-Two chances to get M4A1-S | Masterpiece
-Two chances to get AK-47 | Jet Set
-One chance to get a Factory New P250/Tec9 | Nuclear Threat
-Guaranteed 10 Vanguard Cases

There was a post on reddit with the progression of the guns of the new operation, which campaigns have the best drops etc. Got a link for it please. Can't find it.

Is this it?

Yep, it is that. Thanks yogibear.

Everyone keeps going on how the Eurasia one is so good. I didn't buy it yet. Not sure if I will. Mostly because I can't recoup the price I paid for it through cases. Although saying that, if I get a Dragon lore...

I started the weapon specialist one. 1 more for a chance at a Master Piece. Then I'll try finish all Vanguard missions.

Big shout out to the guys that I played with last night, although we didn't technically win any, we did obtain a mighty draw!

A mighty draw it was sir. Didn't think we were going to do it as we were losing on T side. (Dust 2 - which we all know is T sided)

I remember the days of having a decent ping on CSGO Competitive servers, recently i'm lucky to get under 45ms, usually between 40 to 60ms. No idea whats happened! :(

No packet loss or anything like that; ping times to other uk public servers are excellent 15 to 30ms.

What times are you playing? I seem to be constantly on Swedish servers as I get between 40 and 60 and the odd Swedish player has a ping of like 5.

More importantly, what ISP? People I play with have been noticing increased pings that are with Virgin Media and BT. I'm with Sky and it's as low as it always has been.

Usually around 8pm onwards.

I've done tests to rule out my virgin connection and it's fine to any other server out with the match making process. Annoying :/

When I used to play source, my ping was always a single figure (SSDi community servers) with accusations of ping masking. Playing on CSGO with same ISP but now with faster speeds (152mb vs 30mb) my ping is in the 50-80's depending on server.

Don't notice any real difference.

I'm around 60 - 80ms on talk talk standard broadband, although it is playable it is annoying; I'm considering moving to fiber once I have my new computer - not much point spending money for lower latency when you're playing at 30fps anyway :V

I think as said above its the location of the match making servers and probably virgins routing, although I can't confirm that.

Can only compare it with UK public servers, which are a lot better.

There is just too many variables to diagnose high pings. Is it the server, the route to the server, your local exchange box, congestion, the cable to your house, the cable to your router, the router itself. ISP just tout speed as a selling point rather than ping.

At any one time my router has about 4 phones/ipads, 1 nas, 1 smart tv connected to it, all requesting facebook or candy crush invites. I'm sure that has an impact too.

I can rule out the vast majority of that along with playing on a public uk server which is all fine.

Handy if I can get the ip address of the match making server im forced on to so I can do a tracert.
