£300 gaming pc spec

My friend is wanting a gaming pc and has a budget of £300 he only requires a motherboard,ram,cpu and a gpu. He has a separate budget for case, hdd, monitor etc... I have searched for various parts that I think would make the best computer for his budget. could you let me know if i can improve of this.

It is but no gain on FX platforms.

The max RAM speed supported by that board is 2000MHz I think.

ok what about these ram sticks i have heard good review about these. would these be a better choice to the teamgroup you have spec' me

Too tall should you want to add a heatsink and the price is the same as faster rated kits.

But the cheaper one is fine for the lower end FX CPUs, the one above is good for the eight core CPU's.

What do youi mean by better? Crossfire+SLI support etc?

Seems ok, but be wary spending too much on AMD as at some point you may as well switch to Intel and have a faster system at the end of the day.

Edit, I cant see that it says it supports SLI, although it does claim to run the 2nd slot at 8X which is the minimum needed for SLI.

It only says Crossfire,

Not for a low end AMD CPU and a single GFX card.

Remember you may also need a better PSU for SLI.

The costs starts to add up.
