Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2014, Yas Marina - Race 19/19

The Rbrs didn't stand much chance anyway. If anything it'll help the Williams attack with less to worry about from behind. I don't believe anyone has the pace to get involved however. This is a straight fight between Hamilton and an incident or mechanical failure. I half expect Rosberg to hit Hamilton given the chance - he will know that the luck of a collision will be his best chance - and given Lewis is overly fond of aggressive moves I expect him to get that chance.

Indeed. If i was Lewis i would just stay back from Rosberg. Rosberg's absolute biggest chance at this championship is having a similar collision to Spa with Lewis.

Lewis should just sit back, get a safe second and give Rosberg no chance at being a ****

Fair play to Nico, he's proven hes consistently a good qualifier, better than Lewis in that area

I wouldn't go that far, very even. If you consider, Nicos dubious parking, Hamilton fire and Hamilton brake disk failure. That would even up the qualifying score massively.

As long as the Williams aren't too slow, that might put LH in a tricky position (fighting for 2nd)

Rosberg's best chance at causing Hamilton issues is to try and bunch the pack going in to the first corner and hope that someone shunts him.

I don't think anyone else will get involved, they tend not too these days unless it's a red bull sister team ;) There's no real need for anyone else to bother them. I imagine Williams will have been quietly told to keep their noses out as they did to teams in 97.

If anything I'd say it's Rosberg overdue some bad luck. I think it will be a dull climax with no drama. Lewis taking the points he needs in a 1-2 or Rosberg not finishing. Hopefully Lewis won't be too aggressive when he doesn't need to be.

Yep I feel the same, a dull end for the top drivers looks inevitable. Any drama will happen further back the field. However, anything can happen, so here's looking forward to the race.

Yeah others tend to not get involved, like Berger at Suzuka in 96. He really had nothing to lose and I blame him for not sticking Hill on the grass ;)

Berger was always poo, he'd never pull off such a cunning move. I dislike Hill so much though, so I understand your disdain :p

Starting to hear the Red Bulls will be starting from the pit lane as they've had to change their noses. Change of car spec - so pit lane start enforced.

I read somewhere last night that Horner has suggested a different engine format is needed. Not a return to V8s, but a different turbo format. Apparently switching to a twin turbo with a whole new, simplified energy recovery system, throwing all the 2014 engine developments in the bin, will save costs!?

Is he auditioning for Bernie's job?

He's just a ****, as he's gone from winning to ******* every thing up.

New engine by 2016. Pull over, there's not even time to design it, let alone merc and Honda would almost certainly leave and the cost.

Translated as "We're never gonna be able to catch Merc with the current regs so can we start again and have another go please?"

Horner is just trying to push Merc to give in on the engine upgrade in 2015.
I did find it funny how Horner said "these new engines have cost over $1bn" and then says F1 should be saving costs.

As I've always said, these engines are a waste of time and money. $1bn and counting.

Horner will never have bernies job as Ferrari would veto it.
