Hello, could anyone suggest a good program for finding a memory fault plz? I used to use prime95 or folding to test for stability, but i remember there were programs more specifically designed to stress memory only to help find faults.

Ta.

prime95/blend test will also show up unstable memory, the core workers will stop if qpi/vtt isn't enough esp if your running 16gb

i cant stress this enough custom prime95 run using 90% of your memory

will find errors most programs wont

Having problems with my x99 setup and 16GB of G.skill ram

i ran memtest pro overnight over 1300% coverage no errors

while with prime95 some random workers(never the same ones) will fail within 1 hour every single time

drop the memory speed down and it runs all night

I didnt get any errors from mem test, but in prime95 i was getting workers stopping, but i read on a forum ya need 64bit prime for 16gb, as soon as i switched it for prime95 64bit it worked fine with no errors.

not sure on that, but I was getting a rare bsod now and then 124 error, and it wasn't till I knuckled down with prim95/blend test I saw some of the workers would stop so I upped the imc voltage few clicks at a time till they didn't stop anymore,it cured the bsod aswell

memtest just tests the actual ram,i don't think it stresses the imc enough idk but ive seen it pass memtest and still be unstable due to not enough imc voltage
