US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

Enjoying it but glad I had two episodes to watch as they were very slow. I like the exploration aspect to the story though.

Why would anybody fall for the nice-guy-helpful-hostage routine?! Just cos his name was Bob? Seriously, just proved that Rick's new brutal approach to life would have been better in the end. Strange why the extra two cops showed up though... Hospital people planned the whole thing??

Why were all those zombies melted to the ground? Nepalm?

Noah vouched for him and said whilst he was at the hospital, Bob was one of the good guys.

We also don't know where he ran off to or what he did, yet.

Everyone knew what was coming. That scene was very silly. Last two episodes have moved slow, nothing major happening. Last episode next week before it goes on a mid-season break. Should pick up abit.

Still reckon the premier episode was the best in the series so far.

I didn't really enjoy the most recent episode. The whole 'cop Bob tricking Sasha' thing was so predictable, and I didn't get where those extra cops appeared from or how they could possibly know what was going on. OK it's an unrealistic zombie survival show but I still expect some decent exposition for random events like that. Hopefully this week will be better.

They dumped Napalm through Atlanta streets to try to deal with the initial outbreaks, one of the earlier episodes touches on it. Shane and company are escaping Atlanta and you see jets flying over head and huge firesplosions. It would also explain why a lot of the buildings have been burnt out and also these melted/charred corpses.

Whats the situation with the preacher?..what has he done or what is he up too?

Locked his parish out so they all got eaten. Definitely feels like there's something more sinister to him though.

This season needs to pick up a bit, last 2 episodes have been less than stellar. The one with Daryl and Carol the entire way through was utter dross.

stellar
/ˈstɛlə/
adjective
1.
of, relating to, involving, or resembling a star or stars
2.
of or relating to star entertainers
3.
(informal) outstanding or immense: companies are registering stellar profits

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it being less than stellar. Some people and their ridiculous expectations.

I expect next season to be better considering the record viewers they've had this season, hopefully the budget will be upped.

Atlanta was fire bombed. Shown in a S1 flashback. Also mentioned at some other point I believe.

Not sure about S1 it was touched on but IIRC (might be wrong) it was S2 where there was the longer flashback showing the planes dropping FAEs on the city.

More than likely, I'm sure I've read that it's the most watched show on cable TV in the US. So if they're pulling record numbers again, then it can only get better.

Not that it needs to, because I've enjoyed pretty much all of it except for the extended stay at the farm, which wasn't that bad, just tedious.
