I sent an email to CPW about my White 64GB order. Looks like it's definitely 15th December :(

We will of course dispatch your order as soon as stock of the Nexus 6 64GB becomes available. However we have had confirmation from the manufacturer that the delivery of this phone to our warehouse will be delayed. As a result we currently expect that your order will be delivered during the week that starts with Monday 15 December.

I'm now waiting for the 64GB model to appear on the GPS, whenever that will be. Given the complete mess that the stock situation is in right now, I doubt I would be able to get hold of one till January.

So now I'm tempted to just get something else instead. There isn't much choice out there if you're after a premium phone that is as close to stock Android as possible (out of the box) :(
 
My order is still with CPW - 64GB White. No text. I'm still hoping it arrives in the week of the 15th December, earlier would be nice. But anything after Xmas - I will be disappointed!
 
Got email this morning. Anyone who ordered from Amazon and had arrival date for 15-17th December, it has been delayed. New date is they're expecting delivery on 24th December, so probably won't get your phone until after Xmas. :-(

That sux. Christmas delivery after 24th... :o That's not going to work - we know what that's like. We're all probably going to expect it in 2015. :(
 
Does being the vague come naturally to Motorola or do they do this on purpose? They gained a lot of respect from me for the Moto G series but since then the Moto 360 and now the Nexus 6 has been an utter shambles.

Seriously Apple releases are smooth as butter in comparison and yet their demand is possibly x10 the release of the Nexus 6.
 
Really tempted to cancel my order and go the Moto X route. Camera and battery don't impress me as much but I like the other features for waking up the phone etc. Close to stock android too.

If this price drop I've heard about really is around the £100 mark, I'm going for it.

Cheers. Just checked a few retailers and they didn't mention it. So will be £200 cheaper than Nexus 6. Really want the Nexus 6 but that price for a similar phone is tempting.

You may remember I mentioned that I would have been surprised if the delay in getting stock, which had already affected Handtec and Clove, would have left Amazon off the hook. Reason: Amazon is a competitor to Google, not merely a distributor. In fact, probably Google's main competitor these days!

Bottom line: I expect Voda, O2 and probably CW as being prime receipients of stock and likely to fulfill their stated delivery estimates on time and in full. These players are key to Motorola ongoing success and with Google in talks with CW about setting up a Google store within a store at CW locations (for Android smartphones, Android Wear, Chrome, Chromecast, Chromebooks, perhaps Google Glass, etc), I see CW as a key relationship too.
