Super Smash Bros, for Wii U and 3DS

Only played it for 5 mins up to now,too many games to get through at the moment... I haven't even touched the Bayonettas yet
I've also just received Fox/Yoshi Amiibo but they are wrapped up for my daughters for Xmas.
Its a good job I have some time off work soon :)

I think I'm addicted to Smash already.

Sat in a meeting in the office earlier - people talking about 2014-2015 budgets - I was thinking about Captain Falcon's Up Smash.

Haha I can relate!.

I have to throw on the headphones and stay 'in the zone' in order to keep my concentration at work.

Tried some co-op online last night, great fun!.

Nice FG record Murray!.

Anyone want some noob with me practice tonight?

Although I've had zero problems wireless I've still ordered a USB to wired Ethernet adapter, can't do any harm to have one, the cost is negligible and it pretty much guarantees 100mb speed to my Wii U, rather than whatever it's getting presently over wifi (30mb - 50mb, at a guess?).

Why does everyone think the wifi/lan upload/download limit makes a difference?

Why would a game such as Smash Bros need up upload more than 30mbps?

I would expect a tiny bit more latency from wireless compared to wired whilst playing online games but from what I've heard there is quite a big difference. Surely it's gotta be down to the hardware and poor coding.

I don't think it's for bandwidth, I think it's for latency. My bandwidth comment was more geared towards getting better download speeds, wifi to wired on a 100mb virgin internet connection is going to be better - I use the gamepad as a tablet for all sorts of things.

Like I say - I've had no problems playing UK friends, but I'm reading the adapter is helpful when playing against randoms (who could be and will be anywhere in the world).

When I start playing FG then I think I'm going to be thankful for wired.

I've got some super flat cat 5/6 cable on order too - I've got to run it around some double doors so I've bought some really low profile cabling to tuck behind the door surround - should be pretty much invisible, fingers crossed.

Tell you what getting the GameCube adapter up and running, has made a notice difference online. Used a usb splitter so I have enough room at the back for when the lan adapter arrives. Rumble and pad both work fine on one port.
