I have a stupid issue that's driving me nuts.

When I first turn the pc on after it being off for an hour or more, im getting an error, the pcs lock just as windows 7 is starting to load, and the Asus mother board shows Error code 61. (Nvran initialisation). If I restart the pc, right away it will then boot fine.

I have tried resetting the bios, memory tests, stress tests, checked all connection, etc. But I still have not found the reason for the error.

Nothing has been overclocked.

Once the pc boots, it will run without any crashes or errors, until turned off.

Any one have some advise on where to go next.

Have you tried using just one stick of RAM? Also could be the battery on the mobo.

Only suggestions I have :(

Im going to get a new battery later, as I have noticed time changes, the pc seems to be losing time, but even while switched on.. that's confusing me even more.

Yeah definitely sounds like a battery issue. Lucky they're super cheap. Losing time usually happens when turning off your computer then turning it back on though.

Best of luck!

Most of the parts are under warrentee, but i will have to isolate the fault first. Or just live with it, until next upgrade time.

Funny that after boot, everythings normal.
