Will UKIP win its first seat in parliament tonight?

interestingly brand had very little to say to farrage as they both had frighteningly similar perspectives.

To be honest both of them come across as idiots.

Farage is regurgitating the usual tripe & asserting that immigration is the cause of lack of services (when in reality the lack of services is cause by a reduction in funding as a percentage of GDP, which increases with immigration - both the requirement of services & our GDP). Clearly services are strained, but this is not based upon any singular cause.

Brand sounds like he's writing a baby's first book of socialism, badly communicating arguments which have been around left circles for decades. Harping on about emotional issues isn't going to persuade anybody looking for harder facts/statistics or a compelling logical argument (which can be found, just he's not using any).

So if services are being cut why did we let in an extra 250,000 people?

why exactly is socialism on the rise ? people seem disenfranchised and are complaining about the state of the UK

What is the problem ? I go to work, I get paid and have a good lifestyle .. I get by, I am both self taught and have paid for my own education. I didn't go to a fancy school, I grafted.
I don't require welfare, social housing, child benefit .. any benefits to speak of. The taxation only hits me if the petrol prices go up which they aren't,

just what the hell are people whining about ? The only legitimate thing people need is a cheap ( but not free ) health service and incapacity benefit if they are disabled.

Im confused, enlighten me please GD

I've just seen this and the public are like a baying mob. I can see why Russell lives in a luxury apartment and Farage hides in the European Parliament Bar.

I hope this is on Youtube or similar i know it will be cheesy but need to see it !
Will check later !

I'm not a fan of Brand, but his comments about the reality of Forage and UKIP were spot on. Farage is a product of and advocate for the wealthy elite that dominate all aspects of political and cultural power in the UK. This elite - through unregulated market fundamentalism and the complete deregulation of the banks and financial services and the huge tax holes available to the wealthy in the UK - destroyed the economy and we're scraping round looking for money that has been taken out of circulation and into the hands of a very small number of people.

Brand is right when he says that Farage's friends have farted and he's holding his nose and pointing at immigrants, the disabled and the poor. He's also right that behind his cartoonish exterior there beats the heart of a fascist.

It is a result of poor education and our innate bias towards ingroups that we want to blame an outgroup for our woes. But it is not right, it will not change things for the better and it detracts from apportioning blame to the right people.

UKIP are not the answer, and even the shallowest examination of what they would do if they gained power would tell anyone this.

WHAT drugs are you on? UKIP against the disabled? please show me. But lets see the truth.

"Brands next film financed by £1m raised from a group of City-based investors who will benefit from tax breaks through the enterprise investment scheme "

He protested with others about the rent in a London area. But forgot to tell them that he pays £70,000 as another tax dodge.

But he does show how easy it is to make money then cover it all up with words.

I found I agreed with some of what Brand said and some of what Farage said but everything the Journalist on the end (I forget her name) said.

She was real world, educated in the topics and rational, I would vote for her. Sadly there aren't many MPs who can hold your attention or confidence in the same way.

It really did show what a slippery political fish Farage is. In the fashion of politicians like Salmond he will happily switch views in order to be all things to all people. His comments on privatisation of NHS cleaners were spot on but diametrically opposed to his previous comments and the earlier ideas UKIP has advocated but he knows that if he's to appeal to Labour voters he needs to target things likes this. What his rich ex-Tory backers make of it, I don't know.

It's almost impossible to know what UKIP would actually do if they get their hands on power, they're a completely incoherent party.

Brand is so busy protesting against everything establishment that he hasn't got a clue what he actually stands for, he's a first class muppet and every bit as much a hypocrite as the politicians he barks on about 24/7.

Given that there is unlikely to be an increase in funding given the Tory's will more than likely get back in don't you think that a control on immigration (maybe a points system like Australia's) is a good idea? Your argument about increasing GDP is invalid as we all know a lot of the people who came in from Eastern Europe are in extremely low paid work, basically being exploited, and will not be contributing that much if anything in tax revenue, thanks to zero hour contracts which the Tory's made possible.

She was good, indeed. However you need to remember than politicians are very guarded with anything they say, because one false step and their career is over.
