Played for an hour or so. Done a few contracts just moving cargo about, trying to find me feet. Enjoying it so far.

Do we have a ocuk clan/wing for this yet, any TS server? Would like to get involved.

There are a few people on here that are members of a "clan" for this, called Pagan, they have it in their signature and have a free TS server. Halfmad had it in his signature.

To do missions you go to the bulletin board and see what's available. Basic cargo missions tend to be well paying and will get you used to docking, plotting jumps and supercruising, including the whole overshooting dynamic and interdictions. If no missions take your fancy it's a case of chancing your arm with commodities by attempting to find a decent route or hunting wanted ships at nav beacons (can be found near stars) for the bounty money. Exploration isn't really good for starting out IMO.

Maybe try lowing the throttle a bit so its still blue but lower down in the "blue range"?

I find that the blue range for speed when SC-ing is always flaky if I'm flying somewhere relatively close.
 
My headset mic lost its "little puffy thing" on the end, And voice attack does not recognise a blind word I say. I may as well be drunk. Is it that sensitive or are there settings I can change for it?
 
another daft question - but do I assume you can only install on drive that you install the insstaller?

doesnt' seem to give me a choice to install on my non-SSD ?
 
Dinner done. Time to jump back in. A few more missions until I can buy a hauler. Then I'll get into trading. Although no idea where to start! Lol. Any tips?

Also, I want to install the auto aim thing (gimball?). What module s

Thanks. Went into bulletins and I've took on a little delivery contract.
I typed the name of the place I've got to go into the galaxy map and I've pin pointed it. Now I've come to Get there it says frame shift cancelled. Jump exceeds drive fuel use limit of 0.60 tons !!!!?
 
Seemed to be stuck at this one. Killed a wanted pirate, the game says I have 12,350 bounty in Federation. Where do I go to cash this in? I am in Dalton Gateway which is Federation by the looks of it and still can't turn this in. Any thoughts?

Nevermind I figured it out...
 
Ah well it's not a station like the big ones it's a small one, the landing bay is clearly marked and its massive and i land and nothing. It's an outpost. Managed n attempt 3, did nothing different though :/

I just don't know - there is something I'm just "not getting" here. I know, I know - learning curve, but when something happens and you don't know why - you don't learn anything! :)

At Jamerson Memorial, again, and go to the Bulletin board - somebody wants 3x Gold delivered to that station.
So I look around and find somewhere that can supply - eventually docking at Garriott Terminal. Just about to buy the gold and I want to double-check how much is required. Look at the bulletin board expecting to see the mission I've accepted and it just isn't there any more.

So, what happened?
If I take something from the bulletin board, will it only appear on the board where I took it from? So if I grab gold and take it back there will be mission waiting for me?
When it says "Time left" I'm assuming that is real time left - so I've got 5 real hours to complete. This is correct I'm assuming?

I dun't know - I know trading seems to be the thing most people don't want to do, but so far I'm half a day in and I haven't made a succesful trade!

Come join us on Pagan were all OCUK members our TS is open to all peeps playin Elite
