Spent two hours repeating the start of 'Fist of Crota' for the husk, finally got it and said "Not doing that again, I'm happy with just one". Did the bounty for Three blades today and another Husk drops, go figure. :rolleyes:

On another note, I've had almost every exotic bar Icebreaker & Gjallarhorn, I'm absolutely itching to get my hands on them. Did a VoG run today on hard for the chance of an exotic drop. 2 x Gjallarhorns and an Icebreaker dropped, none of which were for me. :(

Got the 4th Horseman from nightfall, it's OK for PvP I suppose. Back to hoping Xur sells something decent on Friday.

long time forum member here, but not much of an active poster (giving the mods an easy time!)

Ive been playing destiny for a while and im at level 30, although Ive done no nightfalls or raids - just strikes etc. Im usually a PC gamer, so my PS 'contacts' list is looking very thin and its becoming clear that to make further progress, Ill need some kind people to help introduce me to end game content.

If anyone is looking for another UK TZ PS4 destiny contact, my gamertag is Ridjeck_Thome.

Ran a L22 strike with Davie earlier and bagged myself a Do Gooder V, pretty chuffed for a quick Pho run! Definitely a much more enjoyable game working as a team on voice rather than just spamming the trigger finger myself, cheers for that!

I get on really well with mine. Absolutely wrecked in this weeks NF with the void burn. I am used to the High RoF / low impact style AR's though so that is probably why I "Gel" with it so well. :)

I got 5 (******* 5!) strange coins for soloing the NF on Pigtails (that was fun with the splash damage... My solo method (which took longer than I liked but was low risk) was:

- Trigger Nexus and snipe with Praedyth's Revenge - all 6 rounds critical
- Swing round and duck behind the low rock waiting for the Minotaur to spawn (this rock blocks his first shot and keeps you far enough away from splash damage).
- Hit the Minotaur with 1 rocket from truth finished off by a few rounds from AE. Using AE (any primary) to finish him drops ammo for PR & Truth
- Run out behind where the Minotaur spawns to de-aggro the boss & if necessary allow super to regen (in my case self revive).
- Return and snipe the boss 4/5 times (don't get greedy and try for six due to the splash damage) and then peg it back behind the Minotaur to prevent him spawning. If he does spawn do the Truth / primary method to take him down quickly.
- Rinse repeat final step until boss is dead.

I know there are alternative methods for taking this boss down but this works well for me. It also worked well when running as a fireteam on my hunter (two of us). We just alternated between taking down the Minotaur and sniping the boss.

I got Vanquisher VIII on my second run which I was quite happy with.
 
I got a silly question. In my house we have a ps4 and a ps3. I have destiny and the expansion packs for the ps4. If i go and buy the base game for the ps3 do i still need the expansion for it? I just want to play on the ps3 while my gf is playing her chars on the ps4
 
You'd be best taking advantage of the offer they have on at the moment I think to upgrade old gen copies to the new gen ones. Sell your PS4 versions, buy a single PS3 version, apply for free copy of the PS4 stuff. There are details somewhere on the Bungie site.
 
hi peeps - i've been lurking around a while and posted a couple of times in an attempt to get on a couple of missions - without much success. i've only got a couple of mates that play destiny and our differing work hours don't tend to allow us to play more than one night a week or so.

looking for some friendly chaps to add me (or vice versa) on Xbox One so I can join in daily/weekly or some of the tougher missions in the expansion pack. i'm a level 26 hunter and play most evenings between 8-10pm.

My gamertag is "Yimpy" and really would love to join in on some of the OCUK Destiny love :)
 
I'll add you later mate, won't be on now though until the weekend, But me and a friend are always looking for someone to do the weeklies etc etc :)

if i wake up early I sometimes play early in the morning too around 6-7am

In the same boat, really want to try the raids but my mate and I are the only ones we know who play Destiny. Add me if you want, Kahuna Jay, on Xbox 1. Currently a lvl30 warlock, mate is level 31 Titan.

awesome - added you :) not sure how much screen time i'll get over the next few days but seriously considering moving my XBONE to my office upstairs so i can use whenever i want :)

Ok thank you guys. i might as well not bother with the ps3 version.
