City Link collapses, 2700 jobs at risk...

The Govt. should send them a bail-out package but then just drop off a 'Sorry you weren't in' Note instead.

Ouch!, that's lousy news for the employees to get at any time of the year, let alone xmas.

Well to be honest I was wondering how long it would take for this to happen - they've not once delivered/picked up a parcel on the many occasions I've stupidly paid for their services. They've made no effort to keep up with other firms and their customer service is atrocious. It's a shame about the jobs, but the rainforest now has a logistics firm and Yodel was creaking under pressure this year so I'd be hopeful in thinking they might have jobs waiting at their competitors.

It used to make good money before initial bought out and in some cases sacked the franchisees. Those were the people who gave a stuff about customers before the big boys ran it into the ground.

This is bad new and I feel sorry for the people losing their jobs. However, I wont shed a tear if it ever happens to Yodel

Not a Merry Christmas for the staff, but the company won't be missed. Then again I would think that amongst us we hate all the delivery companies for one reason or another.

The Govt. should send them a bail-out package but then just drop off a 'Sorry you weren't in' Note instead.

:D

Best find a new courier on Monday then! That's gonna be fun in the middle of the sticks needing a late collection.

I have never had a problem with citylink, they have been probably the best courier company i have used. They have delivered on time and picked up on time. Never given me any problems unlike Yodel, DPD and TNT!

Its such a shame as i use them a lot for next day deliveries of large parcels.
