Ok, probably not going to interest most as Im not talking high end but Im after a new card, not a gamer, mainly use pc for video editing and online, currently have ati 5400. I have an Antec 400w psu.

Idea's for best card around 100 quid.

Its a Gigabyte z77 ds3h mobo, celeron g530 cpu and 4 gig of ram

ouch you will deffo be heavily CPU bottlenecked. You also don't have a lot of ram but you'll notice it most with your CPU as video rendering/editing or even photo will require some CPU grunt. I'm kinda not at the PC right now so kinda hard to reply. But i wouldn't opt for my first recommendation as it will be heavily bottlenecked and not good value for money!

Not sure what to recommend now lol. You could get a good second hand sandy i5 which would give you a good performance boost but you'll be left with hardly any money for a GPU.
Hopefully some one else could jump in and help as im not at pc and cant have a look around for you for a solution.

Think they're both socket 1150. Your board is socket 1155, so they won't fit. Think you need ivybridge cpus. My board is socket 775 so am older than yours and only know something about the 1150 cpus, as am intending to upgrade soon.

Only if you play very old games that only want two cores.

They can be overclocked though, but, sadly they were a bit "too little too late"

You want a AMD FX 6300 rig mate.

Not when I bought a decent Intel mb I dont. I bought it with the intention of upgrading cpu, gpu and memory and os when I got the cash.

Explain to us what the scenario is now, as I get the impression it's changed.

You've got only £100 to spend on the pc?

Ideally you would get a 3570k cpu and use the on board graphics. That would be an upgrade, however it's not achivable with £100.

So yes look for an i3 1155 socket cpu which is compatible with your motherboard.

If your not gaming then I think that will be adequate.
