As above :) make sure you do the training videos / sessions - lots of useful info in there.

I've just completed them myself... ready to play in the big bad world now

How much interaction with other players happens in this game? Do you ever have to work together for missions? Are there fights between several players at once or does it tend to be 1v1?

So far for me very little interaction there's no real chat system unless you already have a TS server and a group already made

I think a big trick has been missed concerning multiplayer... I can see players flying around but I feel the player interaction level is very poor in this game, at the very least some kind of grouping system to do missions together would be great.

It's something they intend to put in soon, probably early in the new year.

Been loving the X55 :) Had a few "which command did I bind to which button" moments, but nothing ship threatening. Next step is to sort out a Roccat Power Grid screen on the tablet for those commands that should be available, but not on a button that I want to press accidentally (such as eject cargo).

I've now added a couple of gimbal mounted multi-cannons to the Cobra, along with an upgraded Power Distributer. I've just arrived in Sol, mapping out quite a few unknown systems on the way, so I should be able to sell those for a pretty penny or two as well :)

I set my 'eject cargo' button up as a double click one so it saves me accidentally pressing it :)
I ended up not using the Roccat too much now as I pretty much have everything I need on the flight stick. Just about the only thing I use now is a macro to divert power to the appropriate system to save fiddling with the hat stick trying to get the right number of pips where I want them.

It's early days for the game, DB really wants to people to coop more than PvP; group features will happen, it's just a matter of time.

Anyone here using a CH pro Throttle or Thrustmaster Warthog?

I'm going to buy one really soon to accompany my MSFFB2 joystick and G27 Pedals (modded to rudder)

I imported my CH pro throttle from the US, a large well known company. Was far cheaper (£75) rather than buying it here, just time it right.

Fantastic throttle, insane amount of utility.

That's the only thing I'd like. It would be very handy when your trying to boost away from an Anaconda!

Just parked my 9mill Cobra MkIII, sold my Lakon Type6 and bought an Asp, which ive started upgrading for bounty hunting and exploring so far its worth 30million.

What I feel this game is lacking, or im just blind and it is there but ive not seen it, is stats for the ships... Id like to know what differance the various types and ratings of fuel sccops make, upgraded thrusters make, the armour+shields make in real hit-points, whats the DPS of each weapon is, as going off the Outfitting page, some 50k cannons do the same dps as the 2mill cannons. I hate comparing this to Eve, but the ship fitting within Eve really does give you much more info on what each upgrade does and how it affects performance.

I'm pretty sure this will be high on the agenda. Someone piloting a hauler with valuable cargo and a couple of others in fighters to protect it, for example. The possibilities are tantalising.

So I got stranded in space last night after some AI attacked, destroyed my thrusters and then disappeared. Ship at 56% health and I can't move, only option was to self destruct. Quite annoying :(

I've done exactly the same as you ( and share the same concerns ). However, there is no doubt that trading is the fastest way to earning credits at the moment which gives me pause to think whether I should really be ditching my Asp and getting a Lakon 7 ( then 9 ). It's an awful long way to an Anaconda living off bounty hunter scraps.

Some good battles raging in Ho Hsi last night, based on the fact that players have helped the Jet Comms Ltd corp slowly gain huge influence and materials in the area for Jet Comms and as such a war has broken out between Ho Hsi Corp and Jet Comms Ltd in that sector....good chance to make money supplying weapons, medicines etc to either side or get into the battles, choose a side and grab creds.

Yes absolutely.

The potential for this game to be absolutely mega is immense... just hope DB and co have the vision to realise this....

And man... when they can implement landing on planets.... that's going to wet my pants something terrible.
