Should I trade in or not

No idea why people keep downplaying the install times issues. I have an Xbox One and it's a pain in the bum especially as the PS4 does it so fast. Now I would never trade the console due to that issue (yet) but clearly some people will and it's an area MS really need to review.

I don't either.. I had enough of it with the ps3, it was a right pain. my friend has an x1, he didn't have fh2 installed for some odd reason, I wanted to give it a go, I waited 60 minutes only to be told by the os updates bring applied, I went home after a while nevr getting to play fh2....

I hope the op enjoys his ps4, only he will know if what he's done is right for him, but I know from my years on ps3 that lengthy install and update times do after a while really get on your nerves...

I know with my ps4 I can grab a game which isn't installed. insert disc, few mins later I can play, even if it needs an update I can still play, its so simple. Sony get their install routine bang on.

least he'll play drive club without all the online farce, which was petty poor. as drive club has now finally been mostly fixed.

So far pretty impress the machine works quicker with installs. I have notice the improve graphic too which I though I wouldn't..

The controller I have just started to get use to it was strange at first..

The dashboard is a bit basic compare to xbone but that doesn't bother me as all I wanna do is play games... Not bother about the multimedia side of things

The ps4 dash is simple to use, it has plex, bbc iPlayer, demand 5. Netflix Amazon etc the usual suspects and YouTube.. its actually a pretty decent media player now, you've got a ps4 at a time where a lot has now been added , and you also get share play to allow you to share play games with friends which is a great way to demo a game..

my psn is Astondbr9 , enjoy the ps4 I do hope you get enjoyment from it but I suspect if quick install and update times, slick dash and aren't interested in all the media functions Ute x1 provides (Tbh I think it's much more then a ps4 now offers ) then I think you might have now got your console ..

once you play drive club in storms and see the rain you will be amazed, its gorgeous to look at plays well too... bonus lol

Hmmm, I seem to have missed the plex news. Just checked and it was released last week for PS4. As i'm not a Plex Pass member I can't use it (according to the website). Have you used it on your console?

Yeah I've got a life time plex account, the idea is the app will be for pass members initially and then released as a one time paid app or free for pass members.

it's based on the new metro type interface, it's pretty basic right now, although Tbh it's doing everything I need it for, and it has worked for every single mkv file I've thrown at it..

it can only get better as the dev team for the app improve it, and also sky tv is on ps4 now as well... pretty much all my media needs are sorted. so the op wont be losing out too much now he's swapped his x1 for ps4 in terms of media usage.

now as for games, friends list, online and controller... Well remains to be seen most of that is down to personal choice, friends you have etc...

sent you friends request, thought you was on my list, I've got quite a good number of Ocuk members on my psn list...

huh !, first thing that struck me about the PS4 was that how much better the controller was improved over the PS3

probably still slightly poorer than the 360's but the tension in the thumb sticks means i prefer it to the XB1.

Least with the installs its a once only thing. Did you lose much money?
