Went back in quickly and changed back some things and got power back under 100%.

You can jiggle things to help. eg: Put the cargo scoop on a low priority etc if that's enough to make a difference.
 
Can anyone recommend a good market website?
I'm using Thrudds at the moment, but it is really glitchy.

Woo! Finally got some credits tonight!

Is there an easy way to find stations in an unexplored system? I can find planets relatively easy but not having much luck with stations.
 
After installing this last night and having a blast for an hour or so, (not even managing to jump to another star system) it all got very confusing. I tried mouse and keyboard controls, went to the joystick controls and finally keyboard only.. Toooo many things to remember. Nearly as bad as WoW for keybinds etc....

I was tired and my missus wanted to go to bed so had to give up with only a small time flying away from the star port...

Anyway.... fast forward to today. Booted it up once I got home from work and had another play.. Didn't do much so I deleted my save and started again. Switched to mouse and keyboard controls, noted down the keybinds on a scrap of paper and finally managed to leave port and cruise to another station in same system. worked out how to request docking.. Flew around the station a bit to find entry point. Flew in and docked first time......

Easy..:p

Purchased some grain to sell at a station in same system later tonight. Small steps.. Once I get the hang of it I will do some long haul stuff.

Nice looking game, Sound is good and very deep regarding the things you can do and have to do. Can't wait to really get my teeth into it..:D
 
Is there any difference to logging out in deep space to a station/port?

I've just been exploring and havent seen a player for days. Seen my 1st blue giant star today :)

Follow my Sig we have a TS channel dedicated to Elite although its a bit quite this week probably due to peeps being with family.....
 
Made my way to Lave, still in the stock Pirate starter Cobra, bagged my first Anaconda patrolling a Nov Point. 400 credits :(

Having said that as I tend to warrant scan anyone with a Wanted status before I frag them, the money does mount up slowly but surely. I don't get to play much but am nearly at half a mil, most of that through bounties.
 
But why in future have they stopped using bank transfers for paying bounties? I have a fair few thousands waiting for me when I venture further.
 
how do I switch between stored ship locations, I think I made a right mess I basically flew 200 ly found a real good mining spot then though I'd like to get my fighter here, so I self destructed then got the free sidewinder back at trevithick dock so I could fly to my fighter which was at a dock about half way but I'm stuck I cannot get back to my mining ship cos its too far and allways run out of fuel.
 
FLIPPINGNORAH. Died tonight for the 1st time.

Thought I would relive the 1980s original so muted the game sounds and put on some Jean-Michel Jarre (Oxygene). Loving it.

Hauling cargo in my stripped out Asp just to get the last couple of million for a type7.

Got back to my friendly (lovely green) fed station and forget (for the 1st ever time) to get docking permission.

Tick tick boom.

I had the insurance but that + the cargo lost put me back about 1.5million :-(

I thought I was their friend :-(
