Playing against the computer isn't particularly helpful:

- At lower difficulties, it is extremely easy and boring
- At higher difficulties, the computer will have 70% possession and it is extremely boring
- The computer plays nothing like real players

Get yourself playing Online Seasons - in the lower divisions, all the players are useless, you'll get coins for playing games and coins for completing seasons, with more coins for winning, getting promoted etc. Then you can buy better players etc. etc.
