Forza Horizon 2 (Xbox One & 360)

Did anyone else get Strom island, I have it but yet to get a real play on it, kinda crazy they added a whole new island.

Ill be getting back on it in the month, didn't realise you made a trip and got a Ferry etc lol, very well done.

I thought VIP was like a massive season pass?
Nope. It gets you various benefits such as car packs being a bit cheaper.

Forza Horizon 2 VIP Membership (regular $19.99; 50% off or $9.99 for Forza Motorsport 5 VIP members) is like a backstage pass at the Horizon Festival, giving you access to cool content you can only get here. VIP members will receive exclusive benefits in Forza Horizon 2, including the VIP Car Pack, featuring five cars (four of which are brand new to the Forza franchise). These five cars include the 2012 Lamborghini Urus, 2014 Tesla Model S, 1967 Ferrari 330 P4, 1949 Mercury Coupe, and the 2013 Donkervoort D8 GTO. VIP membership also awards with 2x player in-game reward acceleration, access to exclusive multiplayer events, in-game gifts from the Forza community team, and special in-game recognition. Current Forza Motorsport 5 VIPs receive a $10 discount on digital purchases of Forza Horizon 2 VIP membership or any Forza Horizon 2 digital offer that includes VIP membership. (Note that this discount only applies to digital offers of Forza Horizon 2.)

Well that sucks!...Theres a few different packs so maybe ive confused myself.

Sorry I don't know then!

Missed this game a lot, completed it a while back and sold. Now I've just bought again, one of best games I've played.

On another note does anyone know doing the US gift card trick work with buying dlc?

The VIP DLC does this include all future DLC such as the storm island or do you have to buy them separate?

VIP is perks - logo next to your name, handful of special cars, higher bonus payments etc. The car pack pass is separate. The expansion pack is separate, but there is a 50% discount for VIP owners.

This is the only thing that i can find disappointing about this game. They're way to many packs that you can buy. I was on the understanding that VIP was like battlefield Premium where you get all the updates for a one of price. Then i noticed the car packs. Don't think VIP is that worth it really.

I did enjoy the rally stages (3rd Championship i think).

My very Fugly Escort :D

It's no different to VIP on any of the previous Forza titles.

I only bought it this time as it was half price the same day Storm Island came out. Worked out 1p cheaper to buy the pair and use the discount than just the expansion.

I suppose I should get my crayons out and paint a few cars. I used to loads in Forza 4, shame they never found a way to import the user created content across.

Guys, whats the main difference between forza horizon 2 and forza motorsport 5? Which would you say is the best one to get?

Forza MS is basically every famous circuit track in the world with some other special ones, with all the cars you can think of. It very much a SIm racer.

FH2 is a full open world racer, open roads, fields etc, with all the cars you could think off, the controls are cut loose a little from the serious Sim and a touch more Arcady feel.

FH2 is the better of the two for me.

If you're a casual racer then go with Horizon 2 and if a hardcore racer then Motorsport 5. Horizon 2 is open world free roam and Motorsport 5 is track based!

Cu3d beat me to it! :p

Open world free roam vs traditional race circuits. FH2 has day/night and weather effects but runs at half the frame rate. FM5 is essentially a sim racer for a console *, FH2 is dumbed down handling but more "fun".

Which is best? Depends what you prefer.

*Awaits the iRacing fanboys ****ging FM5 off for being arcadey.

Forza Horizon and Forza Horizon 2 are open world racers set in Colorado USA and Southern France/Northern Italy respectively. Forza Motorsport 5 (and 1-4) are all track based racers. I don't know how accurate the FH and FH2 games are to the real world and road layout of their locations but the tracks in Forza Motorsport 5 are pretty accurate i.e. Silverstone, Laguna Seca, Spa etc.

I prefer FM5 for being on tracks but FH2 is good fun for driving around an area of the world. I think both are good fun and justifiable to play; if you only get one I'd probably say FM5 but both are worth buying. :)

Thankyou kindly! :D

Sounds like it might have to be both :)

Seems FM5 is hard to come by at a good price at the moment. Rainforest are out of stock at £27 and everywhere else it a lot more. Anyone seen any offers that we can mention on here?
