Ubisoft now charging PC gamers £45 for each of there latest PC games

Ubisoft used to make amazing games but when the ability to patch them came out they seem to have gone massively downhill :(. To be fair a lot of companies have (or I just expect too much these days).

It is so bugged they move onto the next version.

WatchDogs was the last Ubisoft game I think I'll ever get. I got stung with AC and thought WD would be different. How wrong I was...

With all the DLC most PC games come with across the board its more like £50-70 unless you wait for digital sales nowadays.

Compared to the std £44.99 price point in the early 1990s its still pretty cheap actually !

I don't mind DLC as it prolongs a games life. I hate so many devs seem to release patches on a daily basis like they havent bothered testing got to release date and though screw it well finish the game as we go.

In the past titles got delayed, it was expected, now they are built to release date, that's why we get this, Xbox n Sony certification was ment to stop dodge games but big titles seem to skip past now.

And yeah just wait and shop around

No wonder people pay these prices, they can't even read or write... perhaps they consider it to really be £4.499? ;)

To be fair, Ubisoft do make some of the most beautiful games at that time (for exmaple assassins creed black flag / Unity / FarCry), however they are just FULL OF BUGS. If they could spend more time and sell them bug free, I am sure they will be much more successful. Also ask the PR team stop saying 30fps gives you cinematic experience...

You never ever ever buy from steam or origin !

Always buy the CD-KEYS from the main uk web sites , You pretty much will get all the new games for around £30 this way.

Just buy them elsewhere as per normal. Never buy new games on Steam as they are always stupid money.

but gabe told us with steam they cut out the middle man and the reailiers, there is no more instruction booklets to print, no more discs to press and no more plastic cases.

games will be cheaper digitally distributed

oh wait that never happened like they all claimed

I will never buy a game for £45 that also comes with day1 DLC and a "season pass" ie we cut content from the game and slowly drip feed you

What's the real price of a ubisoft game?

These price increases are surely due to the EU's new VAT rules?

No, Ubisoft are just greedy ********.

I got AC Unity for free and it is still over priced.

They purposely delay the Steam release then release it for £45, not even a token 10% discount.

They released them on 24th December - What a joke.

It would be nice to get a look at ubisoft's acount books to see exactly how many sales they actually make through their uplay store with their £45 price tags compared to other sites that sell at a hugely reduced rate.

Then comes the question: if other sites can sell a brand new AAA ubisoft game at a big discount, then why can't uplay do the same in it's own store in order to compete?
