Matt

You could change the name of this thread to something like "AMDMatt's News Thread" and post all the latest AMD related video interviews and news or anything else in the OP.:)

This would mean every time you update it all the news would be available to someone reading the OP.:)

Nice idea Kaap. I will leave this one as it is for now, but in future if i post any such links i will follow that format, thanks.

When Bulldozer was being hyped up, I tracked down the email address of one of the highest people at AMD and emailed them asking when Bulldozer would finally be released as I was getting tired of waiting and didn't want to go Intel.

A couple of months passed, and I bought a 2500k. A couple of weeks later, I got an email from this person which said "tomorrow" and that was it.

True to form, next day an announcement was made that Bulldozer was finally being released.

I can't remember who it was, but I found that pretty awesome :D

Liking AMD's approach. Just need some decent products now, they have done really well with consoles and GPU's imho, now just need APU's that can actually provide a good gaming experience up to 1080P, and a CPU that can at least offer a gaming experience with DGPU that rival's Intel's.

Put Bulldozer behind them and move on. Really think by end of 2016 AMD will be back offering decent products in all areas again.

First of all, a huge % of CEO's are rubbish. I'd hazard a guess at a lot of them not even knowing what their job description is. She can come in to AMD and set all the strategy and direction she wants for example, but they have to have the product to back it up. Right now they have next to nothing.

They got into consoles not because AMD were better than Nvidia, It was a mix of being stupidly cheap and Nvidia's arrogance. Now were seeing the fruits of this with horrible PC ports and the first games being locked down.

Mantle will not be adopted as they cannot keep spending money buying up developers to use it.

True audio is never going to take off and tressfx, well, you know.

Will they keep giving away some great gaming bundles ? Doubt it, but maybe they will. It's the only thing I like about AMD.

They are lagging behind Intel and Nvidia, have already laid off staff and have seen huge chunks out of their profits and market share.

They hire people called gaming scientists and guys hanging around forums.

Can she turn it around ? I think we all know the answer to that, oh yeah and as CEO it all rests on her shoulders.
