Finally this is now available for pre-order on steam for £15.99.

I just pulled the trigger myself. Had to be a day one purchase as it is one of my favourite games and I want to see Capcom releasing more remake/remasters of the old on the PC :)

I encourage all Resident Evil fans to go pre-order now. With rumours of Resident Evil Zero on the way, you never know, they may decide to finally do a remake of Resident Evil 2 :D:eek::D
 
It is a different kind of game, pretty much all pre rendered backgrounds. From what I can see they have done a decent job as remasters goes.

Overall i think they did a pretty good job on the RE4 Ultimate HD Editon, while the textures clearly wasn't good as they could have been the controls, mouse input and the 60 FPS all felt good enough for me.

It's not like you go and play RE4 for the graphics anyway. :D
 
That's the 4th time I've bought the game.

Altho I think its pritty sad how different and great the game looked from 1996 to 2002.
And not much change from 2002 to 2015. Pathetic really.

You do understand one was a remake and the other a remaster right?
 
Eh, I will wait for a sale. Can't justify spending more than £10 on this again. Not saying it's not worth it, just me personally.
 
So pumped for this. Still one of the only games I know that can still scare the crap out of me. I owe it all to the dodgy camera angles. You never know whats around the corner!
 
Ordered from GMG for £12.48 plus 2% quidco, can't wait!

Hope they release a gold edition of Resident Evil 5 on steam as I wouldnt mind playing through again and having the achievements would be a bonus. Managed to platinum it on PS3, so it would be fun to try again on PC.
