How dare they?! Leave our Eggs alone USA!!!

I'll never forgive those colonials for ruining HP Sauce. Bacon and cheese oatcakes with HP sauce was a staple of mine, now I have to use Daddies sauce which not only tastes different, but it sounds so wrong.

All they've done is add these extra flavours to mask the fact the cocoa quality has dropped through the floor.

Its well known if the companies drop the quality slowly the taste buds adjust and no-one notices. they did tests with coke earlier

May well be true, but the Cadbury produce line-up is certainly a lot more interesting that it was before. Cadbury themselves were often more keen to kill-off brands that people quite liked than come up with anything new.

I always found american chocolate to be disgusting, like their cheese. I thought it would be only a matter of time before they made the chocolate taste like american chocolate. American chocolate reminds me of cooking chocolate.

So not only have the new owners of Cadbury decided to use a different chocolate recipe for the chocolate case of this years Creme Eggs they are now selling them in packs of 5 and 12! So long 3 and 6 packs (which we had last year).

Inferior chocolate and less for your money? I would love to know who were on these consumer panels who 'tested' the new recipe and thought selling 5 packs was a good idea

I'm not buying any this year on principle...

What do you guys think?
I think you're wasting your time by not buying any because it wont affect ANYTHING.

As with all of these 'outrages' it comes down to price. Given the choice, I would rather the manufacturer raises the price than changes the recipe or lowers the weight.

The manufacturers are very scared of doing this at the moment though, so you end up with an inferior product instead.

Freefaller

Always going against the mainstream :D

Ha! I just don't have a sweet tooth - I like nice chocolate, but that sort of stuff is just too sickly sweet and gives me no pleasure in eating.

you think he is just lying to get attention??:D

I'm a little bit past the "lying on the internet, look at me" stage :p Besides, we're talking about creme eggs here... let's get a sense of perspective!

:( I'm not sure we can be bros anymore.

But we share a greater love for meat. Surely that trumps anything sickly sweet? :(

Creme eggs are rank anyway so no loss.

True. The only chocolate egg that's worth buying is a Kinder Egg, free toy as well. Bonus!

Thread title had me believing that my daily free range egg would be in tatters. I am both outraged and relieved.
