Omnivore here, as shooting and fishing are hobbies i take part in, it's nice to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Except for the fact the fishing industry is on course to make many fish species completely extinct and are notorious for massive environmental damage. Then there is the fact that the fish are inhumanely treated, either slowly suffocating to death or or cut open alive.

No, I would prefer to stick to animals for ethical and environmental reasons thank you very much.

Couldn't agree more!

I was for 4 years, i just could not swallow meat, it just made me ill, i still can't eat the likes of chops, lamb, liver, kidney's and such, so now i just buy good cuts of quality meat.
My Mrs is a veggie since birth, it's no big deal.

The mass production of meat (particularly chicken and pork) IS horrific, we have all now seen inside these factories.
To class it as anything other than cruel, inhumane and horrific is both incorrect and disingenuous.

People who eat 'cheap' mass produced meat (which makes up the VAST majority of meat) have ZERO respect or compassion for animals!
How would you feel if someone treated your Dog, Cat, ..etc in this cruel painful way??

Is this just your opinion or do you have actual proof of this mistreatment? You should really pass it on to the relevant authorities if so.

I can go days without eating meat and it doesn't bother me. Other days I might have a bacon sandwich for breakfast, steak for lunch and a chicken curry in the evening.

Same here. I like meat, but certainly don't feel like I have to have it every meal.

I was forced to eat many veggie friendly meals due to a family member refusing to eat meat (I think this was to impress his girlfriend at the time). This just made me crave meat even more!

I have actually done a few days without eating red meat, but I did eat fish. Whilst it isn't hard not to eat meat, I like to get my protein in and I'm not a huge fan of dairy.

Looking at things now I pretty much have meat and or fish with every meal, especially breakfast which is my biggest meal of the day.

Hope we don't have any of those weird vegetarians.

The ones that "I don't eat meat because it's cruel." all the while eating their fish and chips.

They're not Vegetarian but Pescetarian, and yes they are the worst.

I'm veggie, switched about 3 years ago. The first month is the hardest, then its actually pretty easy from then. Reasons - over farming, and lack of faith in the meat industry on the definition of good quality meat, just pretty much turned me off the whole thing over a 6 month period really.

There are enough vegetarians in the world now for this to be no big deal, its a lifestyle choice.

All those are easily fixed by using a good butcher?
