Just wanted to say a big thank you to the people in this post http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18649981

Eyedot has e-mailed me and will donate the money to my family.

I don't normally post in threads like that but i am having a rough time as of late,my ex is really ill and cant walk 20 ft,she has got her mum (70) living with her for the foreseeable future to help out,it is my ex's 50th birthday on the 25th and all 3 of us were meant to be going to the 02 arena to see our daughter sing in a choir,a very proud moment for the 3 of us and i no doubt will be going on my own to see my daughter.

I want to take this moment to speak about cancer quickly,it can destroy life's in less than a minute but with the help of the amazing cancer people we can all get over this deadly disease.

If you know someone close to you who has cancer....speak up,i have found it a lot easier to talk about it and open up to my feelings.

Once again, a big thank you to the most amazing forums on the web.

Most of my recent family have died from cancer and just waiting my turn now, I wish you and your family all the best and hope things get better.

Well said sir. My dad has prostate cancer, which has spread to his bones. It's a horrible disease but I must say the support of people like the McMillan nurses and such have made such a massive difference to my dad. Their support and simply just having someone to talk to helps put his mind at rest and helps him cope.

Glad it went to you

Cancer can be a female dog and is very hard to be the person not with it at time's I know I found it very hard when my mum had/passed from cancer unlike my brothers I saw the quick decline and had to deal with it daily
My partner still cries over her mother in law and my son will never know her
I don't talk about it much I just go robot mode

I hope you and the family do something very nice

Thanks for the kind words .

It will probably be 6 months before we all get to go out,I'll try to save some more money and perhaps stay in London for a weekend,it will be a nice break once the treatment is over.

Well done Eyedot and good luck Schizo - well deserved.

I hope those that criticised Eyedot and the whole premise are suitably embarrassed by their harsh comments - it was a truly wonderful kind gesture and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that there is a sense of community here and there are still some thoughtful people out there.

Despite a number of E-penis threads which can get out of control sometimes. Just like a family I believe we all come together when it counts.

Reminds of that thread a while ago about the Christmas presents

Smiles all round for Ocuk

Great gesture from Eyedot.

It also shows that while life may be great for some, for others it can be torturous, and a little thing like £200 which is not the hugest amount of money to some should go a long way to some quality time for those less fortunate at this moment.

I have lost a few family members to cancer. My auntie has it who is sub 50. She had it when she was 45, had a op, and all that stuff and beat it. Sadly it came back and now wont go away. Theres many complications but cyber knife treatment has helped keep her with us for the longest time possible, although i am not sure how long that is.

Good luck your your Ex Schizo. Also to you for being a kind caring man.

Cancer is an evil, evil illness and has a habit of picking on people that have so much to live for and so much life in them.

I hope you have a wonderful time and your ex can fight this evil. We are rooting for her :)
