you didn't actually say you'd already bought it, so I, amongst others, assumed you were asking for advice on whether to buy, which based on the rest of this thread and threads like this one, is a resounding no
you then got uppity with people telling you the answer to the question that you'd seemingly asked
end result is exactly why everyone here was saying to stay away from a hazro bgrade, you didn't need any other help, because, well, hazro... bgrade...
I would assume that a thread title called "Did I do well?!?" would obviously explain the fact that I had already ordered it. Nowhere did I mention I was thinking of buying it nor whether B grade items were worth the risk. TBH? there is no risk. I paid with Paypal, it's clearly not as described and is missing the stand (which is a crucial part in using the monitor) and has a dirty yellowish green line running from top to bottom on the right side so they're sending DPD to pick it up tomorrow, no risk, job done.
So yeah, basically all I wanted was owners of the same screen or any other Hazro to let me know their opinions on the particular screen.
Had it not had the line running down it I would have been happy tbh. The quality seemed OK and after fiddling with the calibration I almost had it looking decent. Needed more fettling but hey, can't live with a yellow line.
It's a shame. The size was just awesome..

Now I am in the market for a monitor. I want 1200p or better, as big as possible, 60hz. Any recommendations for something under £370 would now be welcome
i have an Hazro HZ27WC which i purchased in sept on amazon ,cost me £200 new ,and i got a £35 rebate as it would not wake up from sleep mode.but have since fixed that.so £165 and it works perfect,it as one dead pixel but i never notice it.they are going for £285 now on amazon.out of interest which model was yours.

I doubt I will buy Hazro again, though the jungle would reassure me slightly tbh.
It was worth a try because I won't be buying another 30" monitor given they're mostly around £800.
I just bought some smaller Bose speakers to replace my very large ones, so I could fit one of those ultra wide things on the desk now. Sadly they're all 1080 high, so not of use to me
Ugh. Well having had a good hard look around the jungle actually sells this monitor brand new, cheaper than I paid for B grade. So I will be looking to re-order the Hazro if I'm honest because it ticked all of the boxes.
Warranty will not be an issue on the jungle either, it'll be two years solid....
The other monitor I am considering is the 27" Acer Predator, 144hz Gsync however it's 1080p but I may just be able to live with that.....

Thing is I didn't spend £1400 on graphics cards to play at 40 FPS. That would really depress me.
Once we get the graphical grunt to power 4k? yeah, will be on it for sure. That's going to take a few years though, and by then hopefully it'll be 4k Gsync/Freesync 144hz etc.
Until then I want to stick to something I can get a solid 60 FPS out of. That's what PC gaming does that the consoles can't..
So yeah, will probably order a new Hazro 30". I like the way it's made, big old chunky graphite coloured alu shell which matches my new Bose speakers perfectly
My CF290X's run everything at 60fps minimum and they don't cost 1400 quid (never turn a setting down), or you can buy a 295X for 500 quid which will do the same job. Perhaps speak to other 4K users on here and see what their setups are instead of believing what you want to believe.
Sounds to me you would rather do things cheap for now, if thats the case wait for freesync 4k.
It's a good screen. LG, the same used in the Apple Cinema. When calibrated properly it's a very good screen and has a very good response time, unlike a lot of 4k screens.
If I can get a new one that works properly I'll be more than happy

But they're not Titan Blacks, are they? I'd rather boil my genitals than have to put up with AMD drivers again. That's why I bought Titans, to get away from them !
Read this Acer 4k2k flickering and bleed issues it might put you off. I know its not the same screen but just be wary of Acer build quality. I had a 24" Acer in the past. They seem to like their frames thick and chunky.
I think the actual image quality of the screen is superb and 4k plays fine but I was slightly different than a lot of people as I went from 1080p to UHD so my jump to bigger better was more emphasised and dramatic.
Your hardware would have no trouble with 4k as mine runs it fine for me but thats just my opinion.
Not taking any more risks now. I know some people are dead set against Hazro but it's not just a gaming pc I do a lot of work on it.
As for two 290s providing 60 fps min? I assume you have had to reduce settings because what you're saying pretty much flies in the face of every review I've seen.
I'm not going 4k, that's pretty much that. It's not ready yet and won't be for a couple of years.
I sent this off to trading standards, this was their response;
We understand from your email that you are seeking clarification on your statutory rights in regards to buying an item listed as a grade B with a discount from its normal price.
Your rights and obligations:
As you are aware, guarantees and warranties may be given in addition to a consumer’s legal rights, and give an alternative means of resolving a fault.
As such, your rights under a guarantee or warranty would be determined by the terms & conditions published in it. These terms and conditions will often outline how long the guarantee or warranty will provide cover; who will provide this cover; what is covered and what forms of redress will be offered when a fault develops. Therefore you would have to read through those terms and conditions to see exactly what it entitles you to and who would be responsible for providing that form of redress.
Your statutory rights would come under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (As Amended) which states all goods supplied by a trader to a consumer must be of a ‘satisfactory quality’ – the goods should be free from faults, last a reasonable time, be fit for the purpose they were made for, and should not be unsafe. If the goods do not meet these requirements, then you may have a short time in which to return the goods to the trader and ask for a refund. After this your rights will be to claim a repair or a like-for-like replacement; or if neither of these are possible, an appropriate level of refund (this may take into account usage).
If you wish to pursue a refund, the trader may ask you to prove the faults are due to the manufacture of the goods, rather than fair wear & tear, misuse, accidental damage or neglect.
Alternatively, if you will allow the trader a chance to repair or replace before considering a refund then this ‘burden of proof’ works the other way - any faults which occur within the first 6 months are assumed to have been present at the time of sale, and have only just become apparent. If the trader believes otherwise (for instance, if they believe you have caused the fault through misuse) they have the right to test the product to prove their case. If they cannot prove their case, you may seek a suitable form of redress as detailed above.
After 6 months has passed, it would be up to the consumer to prove any fault with the goods is due to a manufacturing defect.
A trader’s terms and conditions cannot override a consumer’s statutory rights.
Criminal Offence:
The trader may be deemed to be in breach of the law if they are not honouring a consumer’s statutory rights.
So again, they are saying yes it is perfectly legal to offer a 90 day warranty because warranties are always in addition to, not instead of, your statutory rights. And as long as you can prove the fault has occured due to manufacturing (e.g. it just suddenly stops working for no reason) you can make a claim for a repair or replacement.
Luckily I always pay by credit card, and I've not yet had a case where I've wanted a refund and the credit card company have declined, you just have to send off whatever proof they ask for.
I've pointed this out numerous times around the forums, some people just don't want to hear it though.
The fact that OcUK's stance is that you're on your own after 90 days isn't legal at all, and pretty poor CS too. I suppose the point though, like with other companies is that if the customer just accepts that and doesn't push it further or chase it up, they can do what they like. Which is sad.
There is, as the retailer will still be at the mercy of Hazro themselves, who have a proven track record of taking forever to deal with warranty issues.
Pay by credit card at the very least so that if you do end up having any issues you can claim a refund via them when hazro fail to respond.
