Yes but the query is the digital release date for the UK as some places are showing the 27th (see the image a page back from MrJohnSherry) like the Playstation Store whereas other places like the Xbox Store and even the Dying Light website are showing the UK release date as the 30th.

UK PSN = 27th
Xbox UK = 30th
Dying Light website (select UK) = 30th
PC Steam UK = 30th

Global release = 27th.

So, which date is it for UK? lol
 
I know mate, it is all very bizarre! I am assuming it got changed because the UK store gets updated on a Wednesday? No idea! Hoping it doesn't get any later, I am off next week, so more time I get with it the better.
 
What a shambles!

This was going to be a day one purchase but all these different dates flying around has put me off!

Cant remember last gen with so much delay confusion and broken games.
 
I was thinking the same, it's one thing to enforce an embargo on reviews but it's also a worry to release the game to players and reviewers at the same time.

Also, it has not been announced officially if the game has gone gold yet.

Definately not preordering now.
 
Whats this silliness Ive heard where you lose a mode (Be a Zombie) if you dont preorder this? When did something like this become a 'thing'? Sounds awful...

Yep, the multiplayer coop is available on all versions but the 'be the zombie' is only available to preorders.

Timed DLC? Who knows, they haven't confirmed yet.

This and many other things in the gaming industry are systematically destroying my passion for this hobby.

With everything else I enjoy becoming simpler, easier to use and access and invariably more fun then it's hard to see a future where I still play games.

If the end products were mostly amazing I'd overlook the shoddy practices in the industry - but that coupled with generic, boring games devoid of any passion from the creators just kills it.
Luckily there are some out there who still create with passion and innovate (mostly small devs) so they are keeping me going for now.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Dying Light will have a worldwide digital release on PC of January 27, 2015.
In North and South America, the digital release and physical copies for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be available at the same day.
In Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia, Dying Light will have a digital release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One of January 28, 2015.
Physical copies of the game will be released in these territories on February 27, 2015. Additionally all of the physical preordered versions will include two DLC packs, Cuisine & Cargo and Ultimate Survivor Bundle, free of charge.

So, for a physical copy of the game UK has to wait until February 27th, not really what I would call a short delay. At least they have confirmed everything now, but it has been a little bit of a cluster........
 
Life is a lot easier if you stop caring about release dates. This looks interesting but I'll wait and see what the critical reception is like.

If there are pre-order only game modes then they won't be getting my money either way. Pre-ordering digital downloads is a mug's game!
