The engram is a godsend for a newbie, you have 33% chance of helmet of your class. It's worth it if you only have a blue engram and if you're lucky, you're sorted for helmet.

And nice haul from VoG. Found Verdict is an awesome shotgun, maybe not so much with other 331 weapons but in PvP, it still stands its ground.

Is the helmet engram worth picking up from Xur, or should I just wait for my Vanguard rep (very close to 3) and pick up a reliable upgrade. Currently only got blue helmet.

If you have spare motes of light it would be worth trying Xur. There is **** all else to spend them on of any substance.

You can then use your marks to get gauntlets and legs from the vanguard (if required) or save a few more to get a weapon (NITC, Up for Anything, LDR 5001, MG18A HM & One Way Ticket are all good choices for 150 marks).

That is a good point although I assume that is still a while off (thus allowing for a further build of motes).

This reminds me that I need to buy more heavy ammo synths. I have around 15 per char at the mo (can always steal them off my hunter for the raids in the short term).

I have around 15k glimmer so at least I can buy ~ 15 or so.

I think there's a very good chance the Trials of Osiris will be used to plug the gap between House of Wolves and Comet. Think I'm on over 100 motes now so might as well roll a few and see what comes up as I'm short on shards atm.

a lot of motes are needed for re forging weapons from iron banner.

Timur's Lash with the right perks is one of the best guns in the game because of DAT IMPACT. Shame it doesn't have a burn else it would be the best primary in the game no doubt.

i am keeping mine for the next iron banner, i have over 130 strange coins so i can buy any helmet he sells no issues now. in fact anything that comes up that looks decent i will buy from now on in terms of exotics.

Ran a vault of glass hard mode last night. Best loot I've ever had. I got all raid gear for the warlock ( I already have them though) red death a crap load of shards and Gjallerhorn!! For taken down atheon really didn't think I would ever get that gun. Sorry to Dreads and Xbox dude for screaming like a little girl lol. I swear this game knows when I'm close to quitting, then just drops a gun it knows I want.

I love my Timur's Lash, rolled it with zen moment, field scout and luck in the chamber. Wanted crowd control but it wouldn't roll with field scout. It's a beast but the slow rate of fire can be an issue when being rushed by thralls!

I just got a Grim Citizen 3 from a legendary engram I earned in the crucible but its only 300 attack? I thought it would be 331...

I see its no longer being sold by the crucible weapons vender. I guess it shouldn't have really rolled anymore.

Happened to me with some armour I got from an engram on my warlock, got some old 27 light legendary gear. Don't think it's supposed to happen.

Finally got a Mida from a Roc strike

Also has Another NITC from an engram that rolled with firefly which will want to be levelled....question is, which first?

MIDA is awesome. It's my main primary now which means Ice Breaker and Gjallarhorn don't get much of an outing anymore. MIDA is especially useful in the Crota raid for the Thrall maze and Crota himself if you're the sword carrier.

I know how you feel as that is exactly how I was feeling on Friday. Come the weekend and I had a really good time running a few raids (thanks chaps) and picked up; Vex Myth, VoC, VoG raid armour to finish the set & Fang of Ir Yut.

I now have new weapons to mess about with. Finishing off my VoG armour set was also awesome as the gauntlets had refused to drop for me in 4 months. I know it only maxes at 30 but I love the look (I wonder what it looks like with Glowoo...).

I would level MIDA to the MIDA perk and then switch to NITC. MIDA is good, but in most circumstances I have another weapon that would take priority as my exotic.

Be interesting to see what happens with HoW, as Bungie have strongly indicated that you won't just be upgrading everything from vendors this time.

One question though.....PS4 headset, can you just replace it with any old cheapass mobile headset? Need a mic!

I was using my Xbox One stero headset with the PS4 without an issue. No control over the Mic itself (beyond PS4 software control) but did the job. I would imagine any half decent headset will do the job. I now run the wireless one to avoid rabbit related incidents!

Do you have to have the weapon in your hands to get the lightweight agility bonus?

Was wondering if I can stack the abyss defiant + murmur/IB bonus for legging it through the abyss..
