Also gonna go back to an Anaconda tonight, reasons why; (feels weird justifying it)
The Python is the best combat ship imo, for pure combat and nothing else... The problem with owning such a ship is the running cost, if you do pure combat you're not invincible - which means you have to trade to keep running, as a trading ship it sucks, the jump range sucks, the fuel consumption is a nightmare.
With such a big ship, there's no way of staying afloat without doing trading, profits from combat bonds aren't high enough, bounty hunting isn't high enough (but better) until they release some other form of gameplay where you can earn big money, trading is the only way to stay afloat in a big ship.
When I got rammed by the NPC Anaconda (in the hilarious video I linked) I traded out of it in no time, because the Anaconda has 450 capacity, when my Python was badly damaged, it trading takes twice as long.
I also heard the Python is about to be nerfed.. but I do love it, it's a hell of a combat ship, I actually feel more secure in it than I do an Anaconda, but there's something awesome about the Anaconda ... the sound.... the way you get the orange flashing lights when you deploy hardpoints, etc
