Given the on going issues with the 970 GPU particularly with SLI I am now looking at a 980. So prior to doing my own research I am looking for suggestions. Budget around £450 and hopefully will not need any PSU upgrade from the one in my signature.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Have been looking at that one. Does it come with Pick Your Path game? Any help offsetting the overall cost gratefully received.
If you ever plan on getting a second for SLI this reference card is good for the money

Nope, that promotion has now been over for a couple of weeks m8
No codes, Nvidia done away with them a few week back.

Save money and get the 980 SoC at £400, a good card by all accounts!
The reference cards are quiet. Compare in what way?
Yes if your in a normal size case this is the best card for the money full stop!
If your in a small enclosure then the OcUK reference 980 is ideal.
Reference cards have the nicest type of acoustics, due to the blower fan not having a high pitch typical fan noise but more a gentle whoosh, which is what makes them so quiet.
The reference cards are also the least likely to suffer any kind of coil whine.
Great thanks for that.
Quick question is it OK to cover a backplate in 4D Carbon Fibre Vinyl Wrap?
You'd void the warranty, if it failed we could not take it back unless you can remove the wrap easily without causing any physical damage.
