Currently 20 miles from town of birth. Never lived more than 100 miles from town of birth despite bouncing round most of Northern Ireland. But when Portrush to Warrenpoint is about 100 miles, it's not that hard. Most of everything in Northern Ireland is within 100 miles.

lived in Sunderland, where I was born and raised for 21 years or so. Left for uni in Bolton when and have lived in the north west ever since (bolton and wigan).
Been here for about 5 or 6 years which is 140 miles from Sundelrand. I work in MediaCity, Salford.

brought my lass with me! don't think we will ever go back really; bound to spend more time in the north west than I have done in the north east; shame really but that's how it goes!

20 miles or so from where we were when I was born. We moved to this town when I was two though so I might as well have been born here, I don't remember anything from the first house.

I grew up in a dull suburban town containing nothing but houses and a big Tesco. It's a total cultural wasteland. Anyone with any ambition left after school/university.

I only live 20 miles away (zone 2 London) but it's a whole different world. I wouldn't move back unless my parents became very I'll.

Interesting question, I certainly don't and I only know a handful who would never move away and some that feel they financially have no option.

Not sure but I'd imagine if you took the university route it's highly unlikely that you still live in your birth city.

Moved hundreds of miles away - I'm back there now, for various reasons. Could easily move away again.
